Rushman
Ive been in many a comfy seating/food and drinks served theatres in the US but NOTHING compares with the Cinepolis VIP theatres in Mexico. This thing rocks. The seating is essentially two adjoined reclining chairs that make a reclining couch - damn near reclines into a bed. Exceptionally comfortable theatre experience. Saw "To Rome with Love" which was subtitled in Spanish which made the Italian speaking parts of the movie a little of a challenge for me - I was trying to follow along with the Spanish subtitles and/or catch the very limited italian I know. What an experience.
Fuzz
We have a similar concept in Aus, "Gold Class" theatres. No need to get off you tuckus as they will bring you drinks and food. I've never been myself, but friends who have say it is a really nice experience.
Hypersomniac
The lack of these types of theaters around where I live is the reason I sit on my couch when I watch a movie.
rckymtn22
In Jakarta Indonesia they have very similar theaters. Power recliners, that come with real blankets not the flimsy airline style ones. For about $5 for the movie which was the best part for the quality setup! BostonJRay
In the New England, US area they have showcase cinema de lux. Similar idea, but there's an entrance separated from the regular cheap seats. They have a private bar/bistro outside the theater door , 21 years of age only In This section. It's fantastic, when any big movie comes out we reserve seats in these seats. We call it "first class" theater. It's just the best, I'm a huge movie watcher, and there's no other way to enjoy a movie at the theater
khamy
Gold class is great in Australia (but you definitely pay for it!). You can get your beer delivered at what ever point in the movie you want so if you expect the first beer to finish in 10 minutes then you ask them to bring one at the 10min point and then the next one at the 30min mark etc. Only downside they wont stop the movie for your bathroom break though
