ironman Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 Wow, looks like a great time with good friend!!! Thanks for sharing! Ironman
shrink Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 Life is good, after all! Thanks for reminding all us working stiffs.
Tampa1257 Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 One of these days, I'm going to have to make it down there and try out some of the FOH hospitality and go fishing with you guys. The "Whopper" looks like bait around here, true that, I really have seen bait fish bigger than that!
Ginseng Posted December 4, 2005 Posted December 4, 2005 Wow, Great pictures as usual. I said it when I joined and I'll say it again. You guys really know how to have a good time! Wilkey
Bunker1028 Posted December 4, 2005 Posted December 4, 2005 Nothing like fishing with the boys. And Rob, that flounder like critter is the bait right? Looks like you boys did it in style.
gehrig24 Posted December 4, 2005 Posted December 4, 2005 Let me see, it is 2 degrees here with about six inches of snow....I am very jealous of all of you right now. Oh I do have to plan a trip to Oz one of these days.
ALB Posted December 4, 2005 Posted December 4, 2005 Damn Prez, I like the way you roll, but where were the bikini girls?
Freefallguy Posted December 4, 2005 Posted December 4, 2005 Great pics Rob! Always good to catch a glimpse of what's going on down under. Out of curiosity, what kind of fish are you holding?
CIGARHead Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 Rob, who'd ya pay off to hold that fishy? From what Ken has said, you cant even hook bait. Looks like a great time though.:-D
mgillett Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 Why did I move away from the coast??? :-( I miss those sorts of carry on.
El Presidente Posted December 5, 2005 Author Posted December 5, 2005 The fish I am holding is a Spotted Trevally. The flounder was one of Stefans first ever fish....bloody good eating. While we reversed the boat to give him every chance we decided against using the gaffe ;-)
jay8354 Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 Awesome pictures and seems to be a great day out. Hoping to do some relaxing myself in the next few weeks. I am curious, El Prez, that your offsider - kbg has not commented about your catch yet. Must be stunned into silence or off to one of his trips and unable to get on the internet.
dysfunctional Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 Looks like a great time out on the waters huh ?? By the way Rob...did you really catch that "whopper" ?? Or did someone pass it to you to hold ?? hahahaah....anyway a day fishing is better than a day working....unless you were working with Lisa...
Ken Gargett Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 REFER NEW 'J'ACCUSE' EXPOSING THE FISHING FRAUD POST!!
Maverick Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 Rob, How would a young aspiring business person like myself get involved in such an exclusive club? Ross...
rogfam1 Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 fishing, good friends, and good cigars...now I ask you...does it get any better than that??
Taino Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 well... nobody is dying from stress there, that's a good sign
Well Armed Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 I'm jealous. Or, rather, you should be jealous of how awesome of a time I am having at work today. Suckers!
El Presidente Posted November 15, 2008 Author Posted November 15, 2008 We had been working at a hectic pace for a few months and it was decided by six FOH members to leave our businesses behind last Friday and take the Canaipa out at 11am for a 24 hr put your feet up, relax, have a few beers and ciagrs, some great food and excellent wine. Home lunchtime Saturday and relaxed as can be. Captain PJ Byrne on the left who did an awesome job of not losing anyone....which in our case is not easy. Accountant to the stars Arthur Kassos on the right into his 3rd cigar in 3 hours. Michael Machin in his classic "Action Man" pose. Stefan Pilcher CFO Virgin Air and Captain PJ reel in a whopper. First time Stefan had been out fishing "FOH Style" ....and he seemed to be enjoying it. His favourite cigar Cuaba Salomones in his hand. He entertained us with his stories of dinner with Fidel when he was CEO of Thomas Cook International. I showed Stefan what a real fish looked like Dean Merlo was useless as usual Dean also took his shirt off at every opportunity. Cast your eyes to the bait preperation area and you will get an idea of how serious we were Captain PJ liked to prepare breakfast naked. The morning after is never pretty but bacon and eggs go down well. Thankyou all for a great weekend! It is now a regular event...just don't tell Lisa ;-)
