DougB Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 '07 Monarchs and '10 no. 2's from my recent experience. Both smoking really great.
dicko Posted August 5, 2012 Author Posted August 5, 2012 Thanks everyone. I went for a box of No 2's. I have grown to enjoy torpedos/belis
DougB Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Thanks everyone. I went for a box of No 2's. I have grown to enjoy torpedos/belis Excellent choice. Fantastic cigar. Enjoy!
maverickdrinker Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Smoking the EL 2009 mag 48 righ pt now. Very nice. I like the half coronas as well for a fast smoke.
jedipastor Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 The '08 Mag 46s are crazy good. My experience with aging Cubans is non-existent, but I'd be surprised if these don't end up in the "epic" category. Every one I've had has been a 92 or higher for me. These have forced me to try all the other H. Upmann vitolas (about 1/2 way through the line now). 2010 #2s are also excellent. I never cared for the #2 until I had a 2010, but these were quite a bit spicier. They seem to be loosing their spice now, though maybe the last one I had was just a bum stick.
dvickery Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Thanks everyone. I went for a box of No 2's. I have grown to enjoy torpedos/belis day late and $can short... after bolivar and partagas...upmann is probably the marca i have the most of...a few most excellent open boxes right now...super coronas(good luck finding a box) and belvederes(just recently opened)the best open box i have just now. pedestrian cigar aficionado derrek
mk05 Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Yes super coronas are the ****, but he's looking to buy new boxes. Not like that #2 will smoke for a couple years anyway, but whatever.
Charltonc Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 I have been smoking a lot of Connie 1s from 08, but the recent ones need a couple years.
maverickdrinker Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Good to hear on the 02 sir Winnie's. Got one in a trade that I am looking forward to trying.

I'm with you on the '08 mag 46s - I've had a couple out of a cab and they were awesome!
mk05 Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 To all those who got on the 02 SW's, They are awesome!
Lotusguy Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 To all those who got on the 02 SW's, They are awesome! You're sending me some, right If you like those, you will LOVE 2002 Monarcs. Smoking well for me are the Robustos from the travel humidor, 2009 Mag 46, and the Half Coronas. I am not a fan of the Mag 48.
audio1der Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Just smoked my 2nd HU PC ('07) the other day. While it was a bit tight, the aged flavor soming out of the stick was astounding. SO tasty.
