Lotusguy Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 90s bachilleres are wonderful. Had a box when I got back into cigars and smoked them with reckless abandon. Wish I saved some. Nice change of pace cigar +1 I love my 1998 box. I also had a couple of excellent Non Plus with 5+ years on them. My Sanchos box is 6/10 tent pegs so far, though
audio1der Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 To me, SP is a marca which does not agree with the mass' palates, similar to LGC or RG. They can be quite good with some age, but maybe just not to you? Not everyone has to enjoy everything.
Scdalak Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Picked up a 10 Ct Box of Escuderos Regional Germany Release recently, Box Code MRA JUN11 smoked 2 thus far. Pale Colorado wrappers, Medium Body Nutty flavor, not very complex but not horrible either. In no rush to smoke again soon so I will try again next year in hopes you are all correct about them needing age.
anacostiakat Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Had a box of '04 Belicoso's that were very nice. Subtle cigars and many find them to be too mild. Not a marca I go for nomally I admit. I think it has to do with their price point ROI.
Ghabanos Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 I don't smoke sp, quinteros, fonsecas, newer rj punch and most montes. No particular reason but I'm the same
mazolaman Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 I've just finished a glorious SP Belicoso from 2010. Strong, salty and tasty (especially in the last third). They seem to come in darker wrappers now than in the past and are indeed stronger than in my memory. That said the Molinos are a longtime favorite, a truly different smoke. Best, Michel Those and the salty little Bacherilles......lovely.
