Not really sure how that pertains to this discussion whatsoever. But to add to the conversation I just read an article that does have relevance.

http://www.everydayhealth.com/foot-health/0409/real-men-get-pedicures.aspx

I especially like the part:

Baseball legends Mickey Mantle and Babe Ruth were known to get manicures - there's even a photo of Ruth in the barber's chair getting his nails and hair clipped.

Lol. The point obviously went WAY over your head. I was referenceing the give and take that must be present in a relationship for it to succeed. Obviously no one is going to get a divorce over a pedicure, that would be ridiculous. I'm just saying, is it that big a sacrifice to get a pedicure with your wife if she asks? I don't think so, maybe you do, if so you're entitled to.

Agreed that it takes compromise and give-and-take in any relationship. But there are limits to that, as there is with everything else. I wouldn't agree to get a pedicure with my wife, just as I wouldn't expect her to go hunting with me. Why? Because I know my wife - she doesn't like hunting. She doesn't like seeing critters get shot. I know she'd never ask me to go get a pedicure because she knows it's not something I'd enjoy. Been married for nearly 11 years and it's been working well for us so far. :)

Cheers,

Adds nothing... Just upping the "man card" content LOL. It was the anal bleaching that made me do it.

LOL Lisa, well done..

I am going suggest that Frank raffle off a pedicure and an anal bleaching for the HERF...

Wow, points for using the phrase "mani-pedi" :D

I thought this was going to be a fun thread.

I need all the points I can get!

Shoulda, coulda.....

We'll all straighten it out.

Meantime, I'm off for a wash and wax.

So people who don't mani-pedi are dirty?

Jump to conclusions much?

No worries, BigFunk. FWIW, I'd get a pedicure if I thought it would make a difference on those ugly dogs of mine. But honestly, I think I'd enjoy a hot straight razor shave and a MANicure more. :)

Straight Razor Shave, now we're talking! Truly a lost art practiced by fewer and fewer these days. I love it.

In reference to the "manliness" or lack thereof... There was once a time when it was not so customary to shave a mans face.... Now it's accepted as being normal.

Some cultures today still associate a mans facial hair with manliness.... And would call a cleanly shaven face feminine.

The perception of what is manly and what is not is just that- perception. Usually instilled by culture, upbringing and imagery.

For reference, I've never had a pedi or a mani.... But do straight shave. :)

The ratio of male to female cigar smokers is another demonstration of cultural and learned behaviour - and social acceptailty. That wanker who was banned from here a few months ago (for calling Lisa out for smoking cigars) and our unanimous uproar when he did - is just further evidence that not everyones perception of acceptable is framed on logic.

Wow. I must have missed that.

Not cool.

OK, I have to ask - what in the world is the practical use of anal bleaching?????

I only even know about it from watching Californication.

I think it is utilized by many females in the Adult Entertainment Industry.. Apparently its strictly for cosmetic reasons? I only know this becuase I read it in a Magazine... :innocent:

If you saw the pics of the FOH fat bastards on the scale, it's clear none of us ever had one! After seeing the pics, maybe we should!
