canadianbeaver Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 As some of you may know, I am a professional illustrator and graphic designer. OK, maybe you did not know, but not important, just follow along. I have a new interest, and that is tassellations, as found in the work of M.C. Escher. See http://euler.slu.edu/escher/index.php/Tessellations_by_Recognizable_Figures I draw the design in pencil, and usually try to paint them in. My latest one, however, I recreated in Adobe Illustrator. I designed it with cigar bands and lighters. Now I am showing you this because I am creating a limited edition of prints, some of which will be part of the silent auction AT THE UPCOMING TORONTO HERF. Cheers!
Stalebread Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 Wow. Very nice. Sure to be a hit at the herf. What kind of print? Giclee?

PigFish Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Nice! I am an MCE fan myself. I think I used the stairs that always go up when I played football as a kid! -Piggy
Fuzz Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Nice! I am an MCE fan myself. I think I used the stairs that always go up when I played football as a kid! -Piggy I once thought the world resembled an Escher print when I had a bad reaction to my meds (yes, alcohol was invovled). Not too sure I'd consider myself a fan of MCE, but I was laughing my @$$ off during the experience!
chr0nic Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Awesome I'd love to get some stuff to hang in my study... it's looking really bare at the moment, and there are only so many framed photos of my favourite bands I am willing to cover the walls in. If they reach Australia I'd be interested
