Update as of July 20th, 20h00 CET

No movement from yesterday, still 231 signatures.

The petition is on the CA site as well as the ICC site. I am still waiting for an answer from the HCF site. I have also passed it on to cigar clubs and die-hard cigar smokers with a request to widely distribute it.

Any suggestions to keep it alive and growing is appreciated.

Cheers

Its cheesy but have you created a Facebook page for it? or a twitter? I understand the reason not to but, social media is great for disseminating information quickly.

EDIT: Especially in light of the fact that, we will need many "casual" smokers on board to really make a difference, IMO. Swing voters, if you will. People who frequent Cigar Forums are more likely than not diehard and already for this. Reaching the casual smoker, I think, is the best way to get the numbers up.

Keep pumping this out on other forums, Dan! I'm not a member on anything else but this one (the only one that counts, IMO :perfect10: ), but maybe others here can help spread the word on this. A great venture, nonetheless - thanks for doing this for us!

Thanks for the suggestion mate! You are undoubtedly right about social media being best at disseminating information widely and quickly.

But I am afraid I am not the one to get the petition on Fb for reasons of downright incompetence and dislike.

Nor am I sure this issue is one that touches anyone but die hard smokers... But I recognize I could be all wet on that one...

The petition is already on sites totally over 10,000 + members, not allowing for doublons. If that doesn't get the signatures I don't know what will...

Cheers

Dan
