It is not every day that you are able to provide 12 year old boxes of Bolivar Corona Extra to members. There are a couple of classics below which you should look at.

All boxes are from PCC the Vintage program and will be shipped to you sealed unless for some reason the box has arrived open (can happen in shipping/Aussie Customs check). In these few cases I will inspect that box and shoot you a photo. Otherwise, all boxes will be shipped sealed.

The biggest problem with aged/vintage sock is

1. Not knowing how they have been kept. In this case they have been kept at the PCC warehouse Hong Kong since shipment from Cuba.

2. Vintage stock at available at B&M retailers is generally crap stock that has been passed over a decade before by local buyers. In this trade....every box has its day..some just take time  This is the first time this stock has been sent to a retailer.

3. Most online Vintage/Aged stock is crap stock passed around or fake. No need to remind anyone of the Dunhill, Davidoff, Partagas Piramide, Cohiba Sublime/Cohiba Double corona fiascos over the past 5 years alone.

From the list below:

***** There is very little stock. Contact Diana now. First in first served.

A Couple of Comments on the Stock.

* 12 year old Bolivar Corona Extra. Now discontinued. You are unlikely to see this cigar at this vintage ever again for sale.

* 13 year old Punch Royal Seleccion No 11. My favourite Corona Gorda discontinued for some time. The first cigar I ever tasted Stone Fruit in. Magnificent and unlikely to be seen again in any quantity. I have kept 4 cabs for myself.

* 10 year old La Gloria Cubana Medaille D'Or No 4. Aged LGC 4 are a treat and the reality is that this cigar is unlikely to survive into the future. One for the skinny lovers and foe the collectors...one that is too good to pass up.

* 13 Year old Saint Luis Rey Regio. At $14.52 US/ 22.28 AUD they are a no brainer!

* 11 Year old Quai D'Orsay Corona. Aged QD are highly sought after for the simple reason that they are bloody brilliant!

* Early 07 Juan Lopez. I get asked all the time to search for 07/08 Juan Lopez. Here they are. People ask for them for a reason and it is because they were exceptional during this time.

* 08 D4's? I brought these in for myself . I have set 6 boxes aside for others :rotfl:

JL Sel 2 from 07 were some of the best robustos I've had when young... Can't imagine how good they must be right now.

Some of the strongest vintage JL I've ever had. I still can't touch em.

ENE 07 JL2 were the cigars Jose Candia (Punch Joe) and I smoked when he came out to Oz some 4 years ago. They were strong with a capital "S' yet rich. We gorged ourselves on them as we hit beach after beach. Great times :D

Those are Partagas D4s. Not Dip4s.

I thought that at first to and would have been all over them if they were Dip 4's.

While I cannot vouch for any cigar... the QdO Coronas from '01, and I have smoked many a box, have been some of the best cigars I have ever smoked.

Just my 2cts! -Piggy

There was something magical about 2001 – all these construction problems, not properly aged tobacco, government delusion about flooding the market with sharp production increase… and then we had some of the best cigars in a decade.

I still have few VR Famosos (CVA NOV 01) which I bought in 2002 from my Spanish distributor - just to remember how a good, well-aged cigar looks.

I smoke one every November…

I've ordered a box of the 01 QdO Coronas, so really enjoyed reading this post. Can't wait to try one

I too have found wonderful '01 vintage cigars, almost all 42 ring. While the Upmann Lonsdale from '01 was a frustrating cigar, meaning many difficult to smoke, some completely plugged they too were some of the best cigars, consistently best cigars, that I have smoked. The complexity and character of those cigars I have found almost impossible to duplicate. The Grandes de Espana and the Seleccion Privada can match them, but these Upmann cigars were sprinkled with pixie dust or something and they are very rewarding. I very much liked the '01 Coronas Claro,,, but unless I misplaced a box, I no longer have the '01's. Might have to dig one or the Upmanns out to smoke today!

Cheers. -Piggy
