Evangundy Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Anyone have a nifty way of taking those lung cancer stickers off Cuban cigar boxes?
Drguano Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 That never occurred to me. Is it just a matter of heat and peeling?
CaptainQuintero Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 I just peel them off slowly, never needed a hair dryer yet
Jason55555 Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Yup peeling is the answer I just got a new box in 2 days ago, a reallllllllly slow peel will get it off the ceder.
MIKA27 Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 All of the above AND the 'search' engine on this site that has this very topic posted a hundred times. Nothing thus far beats the hair dryer. A friend of mine tried telling me ages ago, Eucalyptus oil..... We all know what would happen if I took his advice!
Skitalets Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Yup peeling is the answer I just got a new box in 2 days ago, a reallllllllly slow peel will get it off the ceder. I can see how that would work for a SBN box but does it work for dress boxes too? I'd be afraid it would peel the box labels off as well.
hammondc Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Being a noob to CC, I had to google the stickers. Never seen them before.
toasterhead Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 I enjoy collecting them all! You should see the ones from Mexico... Dave
PigFish Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 Just a plot, perpetrated by 'the man' to keep a brotha' down!!!! -Piggy
Bcrowell Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 I slap some tape on them and move on. I am not a box collector. I like to burn cigars.
Dbone Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 They use to bother me used the hair dyer and all to remove them, not anymore. I really don't even notice them to tell you the truth. Guess I'm evidence their ability to detour smoking flat out doesn't work. I bet there are a few state employees with fancy titles and high level education who would like to disagree with me though. Oh god don't get me started LOL
Scdalak Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Steamer, razor blades, tweezers, a steady hand and a whole lot of patience. it's like conducting surgery.
NMJoe Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Hair dryer works for me, although my wife looks at me like I've got pink slime coming out of my ears.
android Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Please enough with the stickers...just smoke the damn cigars and enjoy!
orangedog Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 I enjoy collecting them all! You should see the ones from Mexico... Dave With the ones from Mexico you almost can't even tell there is a box of cigars underneath...
CaptainQuintero Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 I can see how that would work for a SBN box but does it work for dress boxes too? I'd be afraid it would peel the box labels off as well. Yep if you do it slowly, I'm talking about a mm every few seconds with an even pull
CaptainQuintero Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Testing some of my own stickers on this thread. Replace the tar jar with a nice brandy
