Hello from Birmingham, Al. 2 years ago a Rocky Patel Edge Sumatra sparked the beginning of my cigar interest however my deck has been a much more pleasant place since finding the Czar and this forum. I've dabbled in some Czar samplers over the past 12 months and found the BRC, RASS and the PLPC have far from exceeded expectations while CoRo and Monte#2 and been rather disappointing. To each his own I guess however I've truly enjoyed the diverse participation in the forum and everyone's reviews and opinions. I look forward to being an active participant. Cheers and Roll TIde!

Small world Prof. I used to live in Clearwater and visit on occasion to catch up with some good friends. PM me when you're here or I'll PM you when I'm there and we can meet up for a smoke. Cigar friendly joints are few and far between when the weather is poor. Nanny state regulation is starting to rear it's ugly head in Alabama which is a scary thought as we have historically been very resistant to change (for good and bad). There are a few cigar lounges around but they all have low ceilings and poor ventilation which IMO makes for a rather rough experience. My tried and true spot is the Fox & the Hound off of 280 near the summit. Proper ventilation and shelter from the elements along with a nice on tap beer selection. It's a chain joint mind you but in these times I'll take what I can get.
