Just started watching justified, don't mind it at all.

Archer. Absolutely hilarious!

Penny dreadful gets a vote from me. Silicon Valley is quite funny

Same shows for me, and bless you for reminding everyone about the genius that is Arrested Development (movie on the way!)

I'd also recommend Community, which is one of the most underrated shows out there at the moment.

Parks and Recreations is pretty funny as well, the show really found its voice in the past seasons. Ron Swanson is one of the best new characters on TV right now.

But I'd start with Breaking Bad, that show really deserves all the credit it's getting! So well written and the story arcs are incredibly well thought out! The premise of the entire show is something that's probably never been done on TV before.

Speaking as someone who used to work in local government, Parks & Rec is spot on & hilarious. Two & A Half Men- the Charlie Sheen version, is also very funny.

I watched any Dexter or Nurse Jackie but I think Showtime is slowly surpassing HBO in terms of show quality. In addition to Homeland, I would give House of Lies, Shameless and The Big C a shot if you haven't already.

Slowly surpassing? IMO, Showtime is miles ahead of HBO.

Just caught up with both seasons of Homeland.

Maybe because I've not seen 24, I thought Homeland was awesome. Top acting, writing and production values.

My current hands down favorite: THE SIMPSONS!!!

And when they were on: Married With Children! (I could miss the Cosby's but I COULDN'T miss the Bundys!)

And: My Name Is Earl. Both of these have to be watched during syndication nowadays

have both series of homeland on tape (do we still say that?) and keen to start watching. heard nothing but good things.

am in the process of watching through all of 24 (about half way through the third series). had forgotten just how good it was. i had a feeling that the first was stunning and the others faded a bit but i have enjoyed 2 and 3 just as much, if not more. great tv.

and a couple that have no doubt been mentioned but worth giving another plug - entourage and chuck. i thought ari from entourage possibly the greatest character in tv history.

picked up a couple recently - twin peaks. years since i saw it so be interesting to see if as good as i remember. also the 'search for the nile' an old british series that i vaguely remember as a cracker from decades ago - james mason and so on, to give you an idea. i had to get it from some mob that specialise in old out of print shows copied from tape. not sure how the quality will be.

and the usuals - alias, lost, west wing, mad men, and the star of them all - buffy!

Suits has been a lot of fun of late and can't wait for the new series...never managed to get into the WIRE but might have to try again

Season 2 of "The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret" is finally on Netflix - there is a heaven! :D

To all the Canucks, and apparently some Australians watch it too (go figure)....

Republic of Doyle starts its new season Sunday night. It's an intentionally cheezy/slapstick comedy/dramaish father/son private investigator show. Some great shots of one of the most beautiful cities in the world (in my biased opinion), and of course, it stars, and is written by my cousin Allan Hawco.

Aside from that plug, I've been watching American Horror Story: Asylum. Its a bit less of a mindtrip than American Horror Story, but it's great nevertheless.

Downton Abbey (I know I know)

A great series. I recently finished reading "Lady Almina and the Real Downton Abbey", written by the Lady Fiona, the current Countess of Carnarvon. If you enjoy the show and haven't already read it, it might be worth a look.

i thoroughly enjoyed first two series of downton abbey. looking forward to the third.

am always amazed that the bloke behind it all, and a few other things, was the guy from monarch of the glen - killwillie. always seemed such a dill. good on him.

Not sure if it was mentioned or not but Shamless (the US Showtime version) is absolutely the best show on TV right now.

Others that I love:

Breaking Bad

MadMen

Homeland

Californication

Game of Thrones

I watch Arrow, Chicago Fire, NCIS, NCIS LA, Raising Hope and Sons of Anarchy. Just started getting into Person of Interest and Covert Affairs too, pretty good series
