Great idea Rob! Let's know when you want to make the fight global.

Best,

Michel

Australia is the first real country in the world to force cigars underground. Legislation next year will see an assault like no other.

A new band of brothers has formed under the banner lookaround.gif

Cigar Underground Network of Terra Australis

*Membership unlimited...abbreviations not recommended*

From the Opera House of Sydney to the red soil mines of Karratha, cigar cells are forming....plans for civic disobedience and good times booming.

The first Announcement for the Cigar Underground Network of Terra Australis will be released next week via video.

This is a ruthless group of carbon criminals...possibly loosely affiliated with FOH....Possibly not lookaround.gif

All Aussie Cigar Lovers should join....text 0412029744 with your name number and address.

You will know each other by the secret Key Ring below. It will be mailed out to you upon receipt of your text.

Spread the word throughout the Australian Cigar Underground. Time is running out ph34r.gif

I'd like to organize the Cigar Underground Network of Terra Minnesota Etoile du Nord. Perhaps Marker will sign up as well. Is there a way to get some secret key rings?

Come on, guys. Let's use a bit of taste and class, shall we? I know some of this is all tongue-in-cheek, and we all get the humour. But as Rob requested with no acronyms, can't we follow that one simple request? "I'd like to be balls deep....too!"

This is an open/public forum, and it affects our public appearance, at a time when cigar smoking is under heavy worldwide scrutiny. Also, there are a number of ladies on here, and even my wife reading this, while she is anything but prude and can be as vulgar and fit in well "with the boys", she thought that some comments have been going too far lately.

Hell, I'll swear up the creek with the best of them when I'm with my buds. But, there's definitely a bit of a line, and keeping an eye on public perception is always there.

This is a bit of a boys' club, but lets not act like children, huh? We've had too many posts and threads cropping up this issue lately.

My thoughts. I'll go back to having a grumpy day....

Here's a case where the forum owner has opened a gate - wide. I'm for letting him have the joy of closing it if he wishes...

Rob..by FOH time it is 4AM there. Either you're wrapping up one hell of a party or you're one crazy demented individual to start your work day this early.

I'm going to state the obvious... I hope this doesn't make the chopping block on decency issues...

The "A" should be an "S" in the acronym above... ;)

Amendment: someone pointed this out already... No harm in being repetitive in this case

I've asked a question on your profile page.

Tongue in cheek Ross. I am sure members will show due restraint.

The movement is long overdue here. The ruthless leaders of Cigar Underground Network Terra Australis will be releasing a video next week. Rumour is they are wearing Balaclavas and will state the platform and make their demands of the government. Somehow tempering the ruthless image.....there is also a Christmas message to all members rolleyes.gif

Godspeed to all you Southlanders! As an American, I have at least a bit of rebellion in my DNA, so I think this is very cool. And i know you have your own patriots to look to, but if you can stand a couple quotes by an American, here are some appropriate ones I think:

"When the Government Fears the People, There is Liberty; When the People Fear the Government, There is Tyranny." - Thomas Jefferson

"Resistance to tyranny is obedience to God"

-Thomas Jefferson

Thanks Rob for being pro active!

Im not much of a forum user, but I'll be damned if I am going to sit around anymore and let the government tell me where, when, and under what conditions I can enjoy a legal product.

Im a member as of ten minutes ago!

Cheers

ps, thanks to Havanablue (Sam) for making this known to me.

One cannot help but conclude that the name of the organization was adopted with knowledge and aforethought what the acronym had to be. Thus, admonitions to the contrary notwithstanding, I think use of the acronym here is inevitable and excusable.

I do like the Minnesota acronym very much.

got mine. and already flashed it off and told people about the movement!

The movement had already started in Sydney 4 months ago thanks to Fuzz, Matthew (otherwise known as Jason) and the Figurados club. Send badges to 24 of us :)

Happy New Year to all.

I wish us foreign brethern could join. Was in Australia in November and getting cigars is already bad enough. It's ok for the airport duty free to display every liquor ever made, but the cigars are hidden behind walls and humidors have opaque glass - felt like I was going to see the Medusa

Prohibition worked so well in the US, we're still paying the price a century later. I guess Australia wants to try it's own version.

Good luck! Just tell me where to make my contribution!

Got mine and proudly show it off to family and friends, have told a few friends about the movement and they are joining up.
