dB69 Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Where do you smoke the most of your cigars? Indoors, outdoors. Home, club, backyard. What do you see when smoking? Post your picture here, please. My usual smoking place looks like this. It's my hobby room, the "man cave".
Colt45 Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 I smoke outside. What year is your V? (I have a 1985)
dB69 Posted December 3, 2011 Author Posted December 3, 2011 wow, thats pretty jam packed! Does the smoke affect any of the electronics or instruments? The smoke of quality tobacco only makes sounds and looks better. Seriously, I haven't ever noticed any harm caused by smoke and my instruments have been almost always surrounded by every kind of smoke since mid-80's. I smoke outside. What year is your V? (I have a 1985) Mine is from -93. Usually 90's is told to be a bad decade for Gibson, but mine is a decent one (not the best though), especially after replacing the original bridge pickup with dirty fingers. I like the table that's shaped like a guitar pick. Now that's a good observation! Haven't played another pick shape since about -90 and the colour is quite close too. How did you know that? But gentlemen, where are your photos?
TWalker Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 That's a pretty cool man cave bro. I smoke outside too, sometimes in my backyard, sometimes at work (I work outside) if the worksite suits it. Today I smoked in my front yard while putting up Christmas lights and stuff. I'm more of an opportunist.
rusty Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 I like the table that's shaped like a guitar pick. +1
docbp87 Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Freakin' awesome place, and some really beautiful instruments.
Montaigut Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 But gentlemen, where are your photos? Here is mine; its a little more minimalistic than yours.
dB69 Posted December 4, 2011 Author Posted December 4, 2011 Here is mine; its a little more minimalistic than yours. WOW! That's what I call a great view!
Ellery Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 I am jealous of both of you. I smoke outside, or in my car. Started building my "man cave" but ended up being storage...go figure
Fitz Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 I usually smoke outside or in the Shed when it is pishing it down or too cold - believe me you dont want to see any pictures of that old thing.
pedromendes Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 As discussed elsewhere on FOH, here's my Herf Shack!
dB69 Posted December 4, 2011 Author Posted December 4, 2011 ...believe me you dont want to see any pictures of that old thing. But actually, I really do want to see every kind of photos. It doesn't make any difference if it's a ghetto street view or a luxury lounge. Diversity is the point I'm looking for and in the end a good Cuban cigar is always a good Cuban cigar.
Trevor2118 Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 One of three spots I enjoy a cigar. My rear patio deck, over looking the pool and poolhouse at rear (my indooor smoking area).
dB69 Posted December 4, 2011 Author Posted December 4, 2011 One of three spots I enjoy a cigar. My rear patio deck, over looking the pool and poolhouse at rear (my indooor smoking area). But that's a paradise, and thank God you're still here with us!?!
Habanos2000 Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Here's my typical smoking place... and in the warmer months I sneak one in in the old back yard.
mb55317 Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 Here's my typical smoking place... and in the warmer months I sneak one in in the old back yard. That's Chicago isn't it? Or am I completely wrong?!
Habanos2000 Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 That's Chicago isn't it? Or am I completely wrong?! Completely correct MB. Downtown Chicago and the wonderful traffic that goes along with it. I recall smoking a robusto once while only driving 2 miles!
IcedCanuck Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 Here is mine; its a little more minimalistic than yours. That is one hell of a view.
SIn Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 This would be my normal spot. That seems very peaceful.
IcedCanuck Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 That seems very peaceful. x2, my thoughts exactly.
cigaraholic Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Luckily most of the year I can smoke outside.
kcheek Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Patio to the right, lake is under construction. Looks like you guys have some sweet spots to enjoy your stogs! Great topic!
LLC Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 x2, my thoughts exactly. With the waterfall going and the fish swimming, it is very peaceful. Adding a good cigar and a drink only makes it better.
