jman Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 What a night... go cards. 11 in 11!!!! Brc tasted amazing
riazp Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 very nice, it was one of the best series to watch in the past years. Congrats to the Cards, who were 10,5 games out of a wildcard spot to win the championship!
TonyV Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 very nice, it was one of the best series to watch in the past years. Congrats to the Cards, who were 10,5 games out of a wildcard spot to win the championship! Ditto. nice choice on victory cigar also.
Skitalets Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 I was rooting for the Rangers (grew up a Cubs fan in So. Ill., what can I say) but it was a truly impressive run and victory. Last two games were some of the best baseball I've experienced.
kmagurk Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 My victory cigar we'll be a Sir Winnie on Sunday, weather permitting
jman Posted October 29, 2011 Author Posted October 29, 2011 Ozzie Smith in the background. the brc that I smoked tasted like honey and toasted nuts. I got a touch of speriment on the final third. Bolivars are tasteee
kmagurk Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Finally had my celebration cigar . A little chilly out on my deck, 38 degrees but the sun was out. I didn't have the Sir Winston that I had planed, Didn't want to be out there that long , so I had a Upmann mag 46. here's my first review . It tasted like Victory ! HAHA ! Way to go CARDS !
Professor Twain Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Great post. I'm from St. Louis, haven't lived there since 1973, but the Cardinals have always been my home town team. Once the Rays lost out I was for the Cardinals all the way. It's nice seeing an underdog come through.
craigos Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Was hunting whitetails in MO with a bunch of cardinal fans in the hunting lodge on the 6th and 7th game. They didnt seem to appreciate my endless questions about trying to understand baseball.
KurtE Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Was kind of hoping for Rangers to break the drought but oh well. The better team won. I feel a need to go for Texas since I follow the Spurs in the NBA
ksblazer Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 I was smoking a few different cigars during Game 7. Started out with a SLR Serie A that was followed up with a Boli Corona JR. aAd about in the 7th inning or so I felt very confident that the Cards were going to win. So I sparked up an 05 Trinidad Fundadore. It was a very good night for me.
jman Posted November 1, 2011 Author Posted November 1, 2011 Hey chenman, must suck that the yankees with their bloated playroll choked this year. There was a world series this year and the cardinals pulled off the greatest world series run in the history of baseball. Go cards and good habanos
LLC Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 I was traveling during game seven but I watched game six in Québec city. I was at the Cigar Society cigar bar and tried out a few new Cubans during the game. I wanted Texas to win so I passed on the victory cigar.
jman Posted November 1, 2011 Author Posted November 1, 2011 The rangers are a class organization with great players, great series. The rangers day in the sun will come.
