maverickdrinker Posted February 5, 2012 Author Posted February 5, 2012 headed to the summerhill LCBO and tried some free samples of buffalo trace and blanton's. Delicious stuff. sweeter than single malts however, still enjoyable. went to the tasting tower and tried some clyenish? distiller's edition and some arberlour 18. Have to say that I liked the bourbons better today. Gonna ease into the night with some Maker's Mark.
mk05 Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 That blanton's is black magic stuff. I never remember what happened the next morning. Love Four Roses and Black Maple Hill. My local mates and I polished off the HC reserva7 while playing chess. Anyone know other cc rums I should try that's more like Legendario?
mazolaman Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 Found a nice little bottle of this Fascadale. Essentially, it's a single barrel bottling of the Talisker barrels. The Adelphi guys taste each barrel, and snaffle a few bottles. Unfiltered,10 year ol, 46%, strong yet a good honey, flower flavour, followed by the flavour of the salty sea. Heavenly.
