gersonmorelli Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Yamazaki 12 year. The nose on this single malt is amazing! Never thought this Japanese Single Malt would have other fans! I am one of them. Last night I tried the 18 year and it's absolutely great.

olotti Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Sailor Jerry and Diet Coke earlier this evening. One of my favorites! Bullseye. I'm a rum n coke guy and got into the Sailor a few months back and love it but man that is some strong stuff, my usuall is Captn and Diet or Coke Zero, but Sailor tastes so much better but it puts a hurtn on me. lol Guess that will happen when I drink 3/4 of the bottle in a long drinking session with friends and cigars. lol

bc8436 Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Had some Hine X.O. and Johnnie Walker Double Black last night. The Hine XO was excellent, a wonderful cognac.
nick17 Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 just picked this up its rather good much better then the 12 and 15 year old
nick17 Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 ya its vary nice packaging and i guess that what you pay for aside from the bottle its self its vary nice scotch as well extraordinarily smooth for 47.6% Alc./ Volume. its got a nice floral vanilla on the nose and caramel and woodiness on the pallet. the finish is extremely long lasting and the warming sensation from this lasts even longer. must say dont pair this with a lighter cigar you will lose the flavor of the cigar completely. definitely a good buy
Ishmael Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 omg Jack Daniels Honey is outstanding. I'm a huge Jack fan so admittedly I am a tad bias, but omg. I just can't believe how perfect a drink it is. If you have ever been a fan then give it a try!
Ishmael Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Hmmm...saw it at the store last weekend but decided against it and went with a Makers Mark at a big discount instead. What does it taste like? It's far from bourbon, more like a cognac. I almost put coke in it, good thing I took a sip first. Just drink it on ice. It starts off very sweet, then you taste the burnt honey. Still has that Jack flavor, but in a class all of its own. Is it wrong to sit at home on a sat night and polish the bottle?

All sold out in my neck of the woods - I really wanted to give this one a shot, even though I am not partial to Glenfiddich usually (for me it's like the Toyota Camry of Whiskeys).
