Colt45 Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 I'm a Nebbiolo w-h-o-r-e... If you've not already tried them, a couple of other (relatively) reasonably priced bottles worth a shot if you see them: Prunotto Barbaresco (around U.S. $30) Vietti Nebbiolo Perbacco (around U.S. $20) Ascheri Nebbiolo d'Alba (around U.S. $22) If you want to treat yourself - Erpacrife Sparkling Nebbiolo......
CanuckSARTech Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Trying some gawd awful new cider. "Somersby", apple flavoured cidar. "Refreshingly crisp taste", 4.5%. Well..... Absolute sugary crap. Tastes like a slightly-carbonated liquid-version of Jolly Rancher sour apple candy. This is definitely something that's geared towards young'uns and the younger ladies. I'm a big fan of Strongbow. Especially on tap / draft. Great stuff. When they didn't have it in this one local liquor store in the glass bottles (hate the canned version - always tastes like aluminum contamination), the lady at the check-out said to try this Somersby stuff. "Oh, it's just wonderful. If you like Strongbow, you'll REALLY LOVE this stuff! It's much better." Yeah. That's a load of hogwash. I need a couple of Tylenol to get rid of the sugar headache and get to bed now....
phoenix Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 A very special bottle of 1960's 21 YO Glenfarclas. The best dram I've ever had the pleasure...
Wil Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 IMO thats the best bang for the buck in the HC lineup Yep, agree. About to make a pot of Assam tea.
