rckymtn22 Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 Thanks for the pictures. I will probably try to get a couple of them. Hope they bring out a slimmer Dante down the road... not holding my breath!

kiwifruit Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 Can Czar get these? If not, can somebody help a brother out through pm.
melies Posted October 6, 2011 Author Posted October 6, 2011 (edited) Wow hanging with the Suck-man and Guttman. Impressive company! Would it be rude to ask price? No mentioning of sources, prices or any discussions of shipping methods in this forum. Moderator Edited October 7, 2011 by Trevor2118 Source quoted
khomeinist Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 One World. One Wine. Amusing. Thanks for the report.
mazolaman Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Yeah,One world, lots of wines, fits better for me. Not so keen on Suckling,as all red wine went to 14% after his bandwaggon got rolling,I think we lost some more subtle wines...my twopenneth... Looks like good fun,and it's always good to see these occasions around the world. Thanks for posting,Melies.
Stalebread Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 . . . The cigar itself is something to behold, but I will share my review in another post . . . Thanks for the info. Looking forward to your review. Is the idea that these will be the same blend or thereabouts as the Edmundo Dantes El Conde 109?

stinkhead Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 If someone has a source on these that is willing to ship and could pm me that would be great! Ive contacted a few places but they do not export.
bassman Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 (edited) Looks like a cardboard pack next to the cigar. Are these coming in 3 or 5 packs as well as boxes? The original ED 109 is a fantastic cigar, but.........well out of my smoking budget. That's 1/2 ounce of gold that will still be around long after the cigars are smoked. No mentioning of sources, prices or any discussions of shipping methods in this forum. Moderator Edited October 7, 2011 by Trevor2118 Price deleted

khomeinist Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Over-zealous moderating. These will presumably not be available in Brisbane. One World. One Lubricant.

Van55 Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 I didn't see the posts before they were moderated, but if all mention of the asking price is off limits here, I agree that the rule should be modified. I trust it's okay for me to say that, from what I have read, these are about 1/3 more than the original price of the 2007 Condes 109. Once again, HSA is marketing cigars at exhorbitant prices and apparently selling them for those amounts to zealous collectors -- all to the detriment of the little guy who wants to score (now discontinued)regular production smokes for under $10.00 a stick.
Van55 Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Regarding posting of prices. Cigar Czar's exact retail prices are routinely posted on the "Live from the Humidor" threads. Certainly Czar is entitled to market the product it sells any way it chooses on its own forum. No issue there. And it is entitled to protect itself from comparison pricing on its own forum. For someone to object that he can get xyz cigar from another vendor for $xx.xx less than Czar's price would certainly be off limits. Here, however, the issue here is the price of a regional release cigar that presumably will never be offered by the Czar. Under that limited circumstance, the price is of significant interest and poses absolutely no competitive threat to Czar. I would think posting that price would be allowed. What say you, Rob?
