winelover Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 EDIT# I NO LONGER NEED REPLIES AS I HAVE PURCHASED BOXES OF BBF/MC2 AND RASS - THANKS FOR THE HELP# If you had been zeroed and could only choose say one 25 box and a 10 box/15 pack to last say 18 months, what would you go for? This is the situation I'm in ladies and gents. I have an empty humi and am not in the market for anything too extravagant and realistically I would smoke them occasionally, hence the small quantity sought. Would love to hear some suggestions. G
Cohiba007 Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 25 box of Sig VI and 15 of mag 46 tubos would do me just fine.
j0z3r Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Hmm, for myself I would go with a ten box of Lusitanias and a 25 of Mag 46.
riazp Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 50 cab Partagas Shorts, and a 10 ct Partagas Serie D 4, both Czar HQ, total cost around 400$ usd.
maverickdrinker Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 cohiba lanceros and 10 pack of cohiba behike 54s
Diamondog Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 cohiba lanceros and 10 pack of cohiba behike 54s What he said, err make the 56's lol
winelover Posted October 2, 2011 Author Posted October 2, 2011 Given my budget, I'm thinking along the following lines: BBF 25box and PSP2 10pck; or P898v 25box and MC2 10pck; or Mag46 25box and BRC10 pck; or Dip4 25box and SigloIV 15pck
winelover Posted October 2, 2011 Author Posted October 2, 2011 If I didn't have a budget I would get Sir Winnies and a 15 count box of siglo vi tubos Thanks for the suggestions so far though.
aes8 Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 You are missing one piece of information for us to provide you with a good response. How long do you have to commit for a typical session? Will you be able to enjoy a DC once a week, or are you limited to a PC twice a week? Since you are looking to smoke thess and not age them here are some suggestions: 09 PSP2 Tubos 08 PLPC (I know it is a 50 ct Cab but they are small) 09 Part 898 I'd stay away from anything that requires age, i.e. Cohiba, Trindads, HUSW, Lusis
winelover Posted October 2, 2011 Author Posted October 2, 2011 aes9 Typically I commit an hour to 90mins max for a cigar. Also please note that I may not get through them all in the 18month period. I'm not going for cohibas or sir winnies though. I tend to like fuller bodied cigars. Recently went through boxes of inmensas and plpc. Also I tend to find plpc require age but I guess 08's would have 3 years on them now. Thanks for your help. G
CaptainQuintero Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 10 pack of RYJ short churchills 10 pack of monte #5 Mag 46 three pack x2 Punch Punch three pack Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No. 2 three pack I would get fed up of the same cigars so a mix like the above would be my choice

Smoke one, age one and then the you can decided what to do with the last one after you smoke a few out of the first box. btw they are to be discontinued
kmagurk Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 25 box Boliver Coronas Gigantes & 10 box Monte #2's
zuma Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Given my budget, I'm thinking along the following lines: BBF 25box and PSP2 10pck; or P898v 25box and MC2 10pck; or Mag46 25box and BRC10 pck; or Dip4 25box and SigloIV 15pck I'd go for 25s+10s P898 (first choice), or 25s P898 + 10 BRC (second choice)
bstarrs Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 I'd grab a 25 cab of the Mag46 and a 10 count Monte 2. You have a pretty good chance of getting consistently good smokes out of those two.
mazolaman Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 For me a mixture like Captain Quinteros, Or a box of something like SCDLH La Puntas, and a box of Gold medals...
winelover Posted January 28, 2012 Author Posted January 28, 2012 It took me a while but I've just pulled the trigger on the following boxes: BBF (SLB) - having heard how good recent 2011s are MC2 - love montecristo but not expecting anything too spectacular - probably sleepers RASS - I love RASS and think these really improve with age too Can't wait to be stocked up. G
Schumi5 Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 50 cab of Party Shorts and a 10 box of either Sir Winston or Lusi...the extra 25 from the cab will be well worth it, 18 months is a long time after all and this gives you the perfect mix of quantity and quality.

winelover Posted January 29, 2012 Author Posted January 29, 2012 Thanks Guys but events have superseded if you see my last post as I have made an order. I resurrected my thread by way of update. I appreciate the guidance nonetheless. Cheers G
mk05 Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Fonseca Consacos QdO Corona ERDM CC SLR Regios HU PC BPC any combinations of those wouldn't offend if smoked in the short term.
PartiDude Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Buy three boxes of Bolivar Gold Medals. Smoke one, age one and then the you can decided what to do with the last one after you smoke a few out of the first box. btw they are to be discontinued Make it four boxes and smoke them all!!
