No complaints with my Xikar cutter; however, the Xikar lighter, well...

Guillotine!!! Maybe because I'm French ?

Missing an option for "multiple" - I use scissors at home, and a guilloutine cutter (Palio or Xikar Ti) or a punch (Xikar) when away, depending on the cigar.

This is what I use....and it is the BEST cutter out there, IMHO. Lifetime replacement guarantee, perfect cut every time....best $15 you'll spend....

I was reading the product description and this line peaked my interest..

"The self-sharpening double blades are made with surgical grade stainless steel and cut cigar ring gauges of up 54."

How can blades be shelf sharpening?!

Sounds too good to be true when the product costs $14.99. With cigar cutters, I go by the tried and tested saying that 'you get what you pay for'.

I was skeptical too...until I got it and started using it. And with a lifetime replacement guarantee, it's hard to go wrong.

I have no idea how the self sharpening works...but it does. :)

I go with a generic double guillotine style cutter from the B&M. Not the bottom line $3 cutter, but the slightly less **** $9 model. Larger than 50 or so I usually punch.

Lately I have been using a Credo 3-1 punch cutter and it's very sharp and the three sizes are ideal from panatelas to double coronas

Fair enough, if it does the job, well done on a bargain!

I have two guillotine cutters, a punch and a V cutter but I find myself cutting my cigars more often with a punch cutter, only if I find the draw too tight I use one of the guillotine. I remember using the V cutter just a couple of times and it's bee a while since I've used it at all

This is a great old thread. I'm going to see what kind of brass I have, maybe make a set on a chain. If I like it I can see taking a zinced 380 casing to add to the key chain.

The cutter that has not let me down has been the seat belt blade on the Victorinox one hand fireman. Mildly serrated and rarely used for anything else, it's one of my favorite ways to cut, especially torpedoes.

It needs a sharpen, the back edge is flat, I'm hoping I won't mess this up.

I like guillotine cutter because it's a larger opening and doesn't affect the draw. I found that using the bullet you get a build up of nicotine, or something, at the draw end and starts to ruin the natural flavor profile. Just my opinion and I haven't done any extensive experiment or anything, base on a few experiences.

First choice machete . second a cutter. I always carry a punch on my key chain as backup

What makes your cases as sharp as razor I use the Lyman case prep and it keeps them sharp.

99% of the time i use a cuban crafters guillotine cutter. When there's a really small cap than I'll use a punch.
