Only wish it were cask strength. 43% seems weak for a 25 yo whisky. Oh well, sure this will still be very good..

It did spend 25 years in oak, that might more than make up for the 43%.

Are they still available mate?

I saw a post that stated more on there way. Have you tried any, I love new world/ Star Ward. Ginger beer cask was great

Never had it, dont even know where to buy it ... stumbled onto them via oak barrel here in Syd with their special release for them. Wouldnt mind picking up this VC edition if i can

Speak for yourself. I loved the nuanced delivery of the new Laphroaig 15. Why go for heavy peat when the 10yr, QC and Cask Strength do it already?

It's the 18yr they have to do something about. weak delivery, the ultimate "meh" Islay whisky.

The original 15 is not that peaty or smoky. It's the definition of complex, with tropical fruit coming out after the initial smoke and iodine. Pineapple, guava, passion fruit. I've not tasted a Laphroaig since that comes close. Not the 10CS, 18, triple cask, QC, 25, 30 or 40.

The regular release Port Charlotte is a more balanced and subjectively better dram.
