TM-US
Some recent clearance shelf acquisitions. No-brainer at $55 ImageUploadedByTapatalk1439056187.121250.jpg A good friend helped me out in the knick of time on this bottle as I was just about to pour the last drop of one of my old faves. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1439056234.580294.jpg I like scotch!! Benromach organic is very good stuff and not that expensive. Nice pick.Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

sengjc
Seng, how is that yamazakura? It's a weird distillery. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk It is a weird distillery - not very well known.I got it for around the AUD$200 mark and was the last bottle from the 3 or so bottles that a local retailer in Melbourne brought in. I wasn't planning on getting it, just happened to be there at the right time, I suppose. BTW, the shopkeeper had an opened bottle and let me try some - fruity with lots of apples and honey. sengjc
The Scotch Malt Whisky Society bottling no. 119.14 dubbed: "Raspberry imperial stout" - an 11 year old Yamazaki that has been matured in a 1st fill bota corta that must have previously been used to mature some Spanish sherry judging from the colour. Also some Society branded crystal tasting glasses that is apparently handmade. PS: Sorry Taka, it was limited to one per member and my friend and I both wanted one each.

I got some glasses a few month ago - and they are awesome IMO. I rarely use my Glencairn glasses anymore. These really are a great whisky delivery system, and look great too! Popular Post Lotusguy
Recent pick-ups from KL Wines. The Bowmore is a screaming deal at $58.99 on close out. I'd buy a case but I am out of space.

I've been thinking about buying a few bottles but since I'm a bug Laphroaig fan i've also been contemplating the 15 yo Laphroaig.

I've been thinking about buying a few bottles but since I'm a bug Laphroaig fan i've also been contemplating the 15 yo Laphroaig. The Bowmore is great - not as sherry heavy as the Bowmore darkest. Nice smoke. Pretty strong at cask strength - benefits from a fair amount of time in the glass. Think about it - it actually costs less than most regular Bowmore non cask-strength releases. I've been eyeing their Laphi as well after the discount but can't bring myself to spend over $125 for it.
