A few recent acquisitions 1980s bottlings of Glenfiddich 15 and 18. 1980s bottling of Macallan 12 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My summer planned trip to Cuba was scuppered so I did the next best thing... a whisky buying trip/tour of Scotland! Had a great week with a mix of rain and glorious sunshine. Some great pick ups too -

Blanton's gold US release

The price had dropped significantly for these where I am so I couldn't resist a couple of bottles of Ardbeg Auriverdes for the collection.

Nice pick up.

Well...Mortlach is my favourite :)

...there's a fifth one on its way, that would make a Quinella in racing parlance i believe :)

Any advice on which Mortlach bottlings are really good?

I bought this one as a gift for a good friend- G&M Mortlach 15.

Standard Mortlach bottlings are okay, but things start getting really spectacular when you explore the independent cask strength bottlings from the likes of Adelpi, Signatory, Gordon Macphail etc.

These are the way to go for hand picked single cask limited editions.

Affordable and all excellent drams !

Thanks Sting. I have to find some cask strength stuff. Any specific ones you can recommend?
