My summer planned trip to Cuba was scuppered so I did the next best thing... a whisky buying trip/tour of Scotland! Had a great week with a mix of rain and glorious sunshine. Some great pick ups too -

Bro, this ones a "Single Malt posse" group buy, four of us went in on it together so no can do...

Going to have a session and evaporate it in one go :)

Couple more independent bottles after they filed for Chapter 11... maybe they will be the next Brora ;)

It's bittersweet - part of me is sorry for the Armstrongs and the good work they are doing.

The other part of me is hoping that the stuff they made would become legendary one day as I have quite a cache of their distillates released as their high proof "sheep and cow labels" as well as their bottlings of distillates that pre-date them from Diageo times (or was it UDB?) released under the "farmhouse label".

A few duty free pick ups. Glenfiddich 19 yr Age of Discovery Medeira barrel from 2011, Glenlivet 15 French Oak 1L, and Glenlivet The Master Distiller's Reserve1L. There were a few others I left but I could only buy so many.
