My summer planned trip to Cuba was scuppered so I did the next best thing... a whisky buying trip/tour of Scotland! Had a great week with a mix of rain and glorious sunshine. Some great pick ups too -

I've been dying to try this one, but can't get it in this country.

I was wondering when they introduced the new bottle... Saw it on the shelf in Stuttgart LCDH. I prefer the old, square design.

I actually like the feel of this one in the hand, and it has a certain "cereal-box" charm to it, as I can read the bottle while enjoying what's inside

Got myself a bottle of Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban.

And Little Creatures latest single batch beer, the rule of three. It disappears pretty quick, so I bought all 12 of Dan Murphy's stock.

A bottle of Herradura Anejo

post-15948-0-44050300-1402831434_thumb.j

And I found a beer that was new to Dan's inventory that hadn't even hit the shelves yet, it was still in the back store room and it was never going to hit the shelves because it was marked to be deleted, the price was reduced from $17 a bottle to just $8.

So I bought all ten bottles of this fantastic Belgian blonde ale St. Stefanus.
