Popular Post Rye Posted December 7, 2016 Popular Post Posted December 7, 2016 I haven't been posting a ton here lately, but still replenishing some tasty bottles. These two were a gift from a good friendSome nice Canadian and US juices to switch things up a bitThe Tomnabat Hill is a spectacular drop and I will enjoy getting to know this complex dramSome Costco grabs. May have to try one of the bottles of port to see if I should stash away a few more I can never run out of the Bowmore 12My first go at the newer style packaging on the Tali DE. Really like the stuff Never tried anything but the regular version of the Dalwhinnie and the price was right. Great colourCheers! 6

Fugu Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 13 minutes ago, Rye said: So they are ready and approachable? Absolutely! LBVs usually don't need much shelf time in the bottle due to their longer time in the cask. I got the same bottling here (the latest I think), which is very enjoyable right now (a very deep and fruity stile). But you can also lay them down for a couple of years. Enjoy!

sengjc Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 Did you buy a cask? what type of cask was it? Nah, bought this bottle on auction. From the colour, I would say it is bourbon cask.
TM-US Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 thoughts on this? Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkIt's not bad but not that much better than the regular 10 year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
Jeremy Festa Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Got two of these for my dad's birthday. Just trying them now. The Nova is head and shoulders above the Alba. Price point would suggest different. Alba needs years. But the Nova is really bloody good already. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2

DRE and zacapa xo left me disappointed, found some good aged Damoisseau's that were fantastic though. 1
Fosgate Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 Rum Ratings puts it in top 10 aged, few decent reviews on the stuff.
