bassman Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Supposed to be a Quay D'Orsay Robusto regional for Asia Pacific in 2011. I'd get a box of these. Any news on if or when they're coming?
lemmycaution Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Sounds great. I would probably get a box too. Hopefully they come out before 2012...

bstarrs Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 At least they are exploring options with the brand, if only they would do that for Diplomaticos.

Ghabanos Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Been intrigued since I saw this on Trevor's website... Love robustos so I will try to get my hands on some given the recent discussion on the forum and flavors that others have been describing...
frenchkiwi Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 for some reason this doesn't appeal at all. enjoy quai d'orsay cafe creme type flavours in current formats but i don't know if a fat ring gauge would achieve the same flavour profile. will be interested to hear the run-down from someone who has smoked it.
bstarrs Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Yeah but the Robusto being one of the hottest sizes in the world, it's a pretty clever idea to shack up a dying brand with a popular vitola to drum up interest is it not?
El Presidente Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 No word yet as when available. keep in mind the Por larranaga Encantos were a year late on getting to market
First Lady Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 probably due this year but my bet is 2013 the way Habanos is going at the moment..... I wonder where the 2011 LE are... that's right no where LOLOL

All the reason to try for ourselves... Hehehe
rfenst Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 My experience with QdO over the last few years is that, although considered mild, they become more and more medium with age. Their flavor really comes out with time (5-7 years). Smooth and mild aren't the same thing to me. Similarly, the five packs of 10-11 year old Fonseca Cosacos I have are not mild, but medium with some unbelievable flavors, including a touch of slightly sweet, yet still somewhat peppery cinnamon... YMMV.
