I like many...but I have really been enjoying the Rey Del Mundo Choix Supreme! Picked up several boxes from Rob over the last year.

Android, I've got to agree. It's been in the high 90's here and the ERDMs have been absolutely pleasurable while smoking in all of this heat and humidity.

I voted for the JL#2 as the fullest and the Trinidad T as my favorite.

Since I usually try to let the JL2 sleep, I have forgotten how strong fresh it was. Some Partagas 09 D4 boxes I have, however, have an edge on them in the strength department. Just some fluke boxes? Hard to say...but they are super strong, but still enjoyable.

My favorite current production is the JL2 with some time on it. Really enjoy the flavors. Love them with a mojito.

This thread has been a good read! I've never had a JL#2 ... looks like I need to get on that! I have had one of the corona gorda-ish JLs, which I liked a lot though it fooled me into thinking it was a Bolivar for half the stick.

I'm currently smoking through my first box of JL #2s and they have a about a year and a half on them. The flavors are pretty intense and they are quite enjoyable, great for the price. BRCs are my favorite though, they are just beautiful.

I don't always smoke Robustos, but when I do, I prefer Trini T's.

Says the most interesting man from FOH.

I like the RASS & SLR Regios for flavour & fullness, there both aquired cigars imo. Honestly you can't go wrong with the robusto "splits" box or the PC's or the Corona Gorda's . Going to work my way through all 3 samplers.

Several good options. I find the Bolivar to be the most full bodied. I really like the current PSD4's and RASS. Trinidad T's are a favorite of mine too.

Having smoked a few brcs I'd say they're medium if that but coros, d4s and rass with a few years on them are powerhouses. Have only had a couple JL2s but they were enjoyable, I hear recent stock has been excellent so may pick up a box.

Maybe I had a bad one, but I didn't think the Juan Lopez No. 2 was strong at all- very light overall. I'm thinking I got a bad one because it turned really acrid and bitter in the last third with difficulty keeping it lit at that time. I had to put it down after that- the bitterness was comparable to chewing on prescription meds, that kind of bitterness.

To give a gauge on fullness, I thought that Partagas and Bolivar robustos are medium to full bodied, the strength kind of sneaks up on you.

I think PD4 is strongest. My faves are vr Famoso, PD4 and RASS

PD4 are strongest of the ones I have tried. Love the CoRo, but they are too expensive for every day smokes so picking PD4 as favorite with RASS a close second.

I'm going to break this down a little bit, and maybe you guys can chime in on this as well: There are regular release cigars that we buy because they are consistent yoy, and there are regular release cigars that we buy because we're searching for that magical flavor that we experienced in the past.

For me, in the former category, I must vouch for the CoRo, Hoyo Epi2, ERDM CS, and SLR Regios (in order). Nothing's quite like the CoRo when it's aged >4yrs - it's something magical (most silky, luxurious, and balanced. can't say enough). The Epi2 is always consistent and delivers, but I haven't sampled any post 08 boxes. ERDM CS isn't a robusto but its slender profile gives it a finesse about it that can't be found anywhere. After 8ish years, I find this specific cigar develops into a stronger cigar with coffee bean aroma and tasting like a heavy rich vanilla creamsicle. SLR Regios are just great sticks yoy. Haven't had a bad one ever. (haven't had the guts to open any of the RoboT boxes :chicken:)

Then we have regular production cigars that I buy just trying to find that flavor I once found in earlier boxes to no avail :looking:: The H Upmann Conn #1, PD4, and the RASS. HU Connie1 from mid90's had this unreal vanilla and full bean aroma/taste that don't appear in post 00 boxes. Same with the Partagas D4s, just not even the same. RASS and I are in a fight. How do I describe my first RASS...in the earlier box codes, the cigar tasted like what the Fuente family wanted the Opus X to taste like. It was floral with honey and sugary raisins, it was caramelly, it was light on leather, and also heavy on the cream. A lot of beautiful things going on at once, just like a well-aged opus. I've tried some recent singles and find them rather one dimensional and bland in comparison - I don't know if people buy it hoping to rediscover that flavor, or if they just enjoy biting down on leather and some traces of cocoa. Am I being overly critical? Let me know if the RASS is smoking well and will portray those flavors for me down the line (as in worth holding on to recent vints).

Finally, I don't quite get the recent JL craze. Maybe if I laid it down like the RJ Cazzie for like 10yrs I'd be ok with it. I'm not smoking cigars for the nicotine? :cigar:For me, power isn't the embodiment, or the draw of a cuban cigar - it's the balance and complexity.

Happy holidays

I'm with you on the JLs...just don't get them...although I do try...but am still looking.

I voted the Trini as strong and the VR as my favorite. But that may change tomorrow. You know how 50 yr old gals are.

And a few months ago the whole list would have been strong for me. At the rate I am going, I will be lighting butane cans on fire and puffing on them - as long as they come from a Habanos dealer.

I don't really smoke that many Robustos to have an over all objective opinion,

I'm a Corona Gorda Guy.

When I do smoke one, It's the Ramon Allones Specially Selected that never lets

me down, always enjoyable in strength and flavor.
