Bragging rights?

I believe one of the benefits of being a parent is doing a little bragging when your child makes you proud. So here is my attempt at it, lol. A video of my son taking a little batting practice.

Thanks everyone! I can tell in the video that he was getting tired. His hitting coach has to tell him that's enough for the day, he would hit till his arms fell off, he loves it. I think he likes the attention he gets because coaches from other teams come watch him if they hear that Nikolaus is taking practice.

This season Nikolaus played in a Federal League. He played up to the next age division and was the youngest on the team at 8, most of the other boys were 10. I was surprised when the batting stats were handed out at the last game, Nikolaus led his team with a .489 avg. 19 walks, 11 strikeouts and an OBP of almost .800. Plus he was the starting catcher.

He must get his talent from his mother because when I was a kid I couldn't hit a beach ball if you threw it at me. My wife received a full ride to Arizona State for fast pitch. She was a catcher also.
