MoneyPit Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 I recently caught a glimpse of the caramel that is described in the PLPCs and I rather enjoyed it. Unfortunately, my cab is 2010 and I would like to experience the full caramel flavor before 2014... I was considering one of the Por Larranaga RE/EL to help me better experience this flavor profile. Got any suggestions?
Maron76 Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Maybe see if you could work out a trade for some with a little more age on them?

CBL Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 I have some '09 PL Montecarlos that is full caramel! So much my throat is always itchy from the sweetness after smoking one
jedipastor Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Trinidad. An aged Trinidad Coloniales can give you some nice caramel. I've also gotten it from a Trini Robusto Extra, and hints in the Robusto T (but it was pretty fresh).
cigaraholic Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Try a box of PL Panetelas, lots of caramel and very little $$.

I have a couple of non HQ boxes and passed out 4 at a Herf at my place recently. Everyone commented the same - mild to medium, great smoke volume, caramel sweetness. PM me an address and I'll gladly send one your way for review
