I recently caught a glimpse of the caramel that is described in the PLPCs and I rather enjoyed it. Unfortunately, my cab is 2010 and I would like to experience the full caramel flavor before 2014... I was considering one of the Por Larranaga RE/EL to help me better experience this flavor profile.

Got any suggestions?

Maybe see if you could work out a trade for some with a little more age on them?

PL Robusto Asia Pacific RE from 2007. Our host has them available as boxes or 5ers. They are great and very caramelly at.the moment, no waiting required.

I had noticed those but was curious how they compared versus the PL Belicoso Extras?

Trinidad. An aged Trinidad Coloniales can give you some nice caramel. I've also gotten it from a Trini Robusto Extra, and hints in the Robusto T (but it was pretty fresh).

Have been smoking through a HQ box of PL Robusto EL 2007.

Still waiting a "hint" of Caramel.......

Different strokes for different folks I guess. I have a couple of non HQ boxes and passed out 4 at a Herf at my place recently. Everyone commented the same - mild to medium, great smoke volume, caramel sweetness. PM me an address and I'll gladly send one your way for review :perfect10:

Just finished smoking one of these not 5 minutes ago, and it was caramelly goodness all the way through. Awesome, relaxing smoke.

Had that PL Beli extra yesterday. Excellent cigar, medium full, deep rich flavours which haven't quite melded. Not a hint of caramel. Go figure. Cigars really are women :spotlight:

Like women? OK, try tossing one before she's done. And then picking up another!

Hey Nick - was having a bbq with a few buddies in Mission and it metamorphosed into a herf! Let's just say it was a Fraser Valley happening :lookaround:
