dB69 Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 Sorry, but never seen bundled fakes like those before...
Coloniales Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 Oh my, how nice those are lol enjoy them, my friends @ Phoenecia will be really interested in these "genuine items" Keith.
jesseo81 Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 Thanks for reminding me, I've been meaning to pick up another bundle of Behikes!
Strada Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 I am by no mean an expert but I highly doubt Hsa put out anything in shrink wrap. Not to mention Behikes are meant to be super exclusive and have an expensive packaging. Why would they downgrade their products like that... That being said, if you like them, smoke them and enjoy them!
Ginseng Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 Wow. If you're happy with what you paid for how they smoke, then be happy. Sometimes a cigar is no more than a cigar. Wilkey
android Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 Enjoy them...glad to hear that you got them cheap...now reach out to Lise and spend some of your hard earned money on some real CC.
laficion Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 Things I bought from Lebanon on the cheap Grerat bargin indeed, I would think that they were cheap because the dates on those have expired. I see that the Cuban Warranty seal is one before 1999 (It has changed since) Also the corner Habanos sticker is before 1994. ( this has ALSO changed since) I would then guess that because of this, the cigars are sold cheaper so as to make way for newer stock. However, It is a shame that they ran out of those authentic glass top boxes , but, then again, the cigars would have been a bit more expensive. Anyway, congratulations, you made a fine deal. Since you are enjoying them on the French Riviera, take advantage of the sale of REAL & authentic Rolex & Cartier watches being sold on the beach at this moment. Thanks for shareing this great event with us on FOH.

Guest leanderdsilva Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 hahahahaha...we need to give these out art hefrs.
CBL Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 Can we move this to the classic post section? This is forum magic
ZAZ Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 Now he edits his post and deletes those real, one of a kind Cubans.
riazp Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 maybe the mods modified the post...oh well, hopefully he'll stick around and learn about cubans, every gets had at least once in their life.

Nope, I'm pretty sure none of us edited this. If we did so, we'd post the justification for taking that action. I'm guessing this fellow just realized what happened to him and feels a bit, um, mortified. Wilkey PS. And yeah, I'm willing to bet almost everyone has picked up a counterfeit at some point in our Habanos careers. Might have been at a convenience store, on a cruise, or from a friend of a friend.
riazp Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 Yeah i'm sure if we ran a poll, i'M willing to bet 75% of us have either bought fakes not knowing in our hay day, or were gifted fakes and still smoked it out of pure curiosity. Hell I know of people when they go to cuba, they purposly buy fakes for cheap just to puff on while at the beach and save the good stash for when they get home.

As I was having coffee this morning and enjoying a Partagas short I felt bad for bad for ManicDVLN...to Wilkey's point we all had to begin our CC journey as a novice and I'm sure we have all have some CC regrets, one of the many joy's of FOH is the love & brotherhood/sisterhood of CC so with that said...if you had $1K to spend as ManicDVLN did what would you recommend to him as a good foundation to stock his humidor with CC.

I already have many GENUINE cubans and nicuraguans in my humidor of 500 stock. The very least if you guys can tell me if the Cohiba Genios, Montecristo LE 2006 Maduro are genuine, that is enough for my dollars worth. I tried the Gran Reserva and it tasted not as good as the Genios. I don't know if any of these are real since they are in their REAL boxes. I will take close ups of each, if they are all fake. I am going to kill a family relative since he forced me to buy it from this guy. Initially I just wanted to buy from the airport where I knew they were authentic although more expensive. BTW, for reference, a box of genios at the airport is 495$ And box of Partagas D4 is 160$, which sorry to say still is cheaper than FOH. I have ordered from Rob previously and have no complaints but I always worry from the risk of being caught from customs.
Guest leanderdsilva Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 From your first comment(which you erased), it looks like even the airport store was selling fakes.

riazp Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 ManicDVLN...use Trevors site for reference:http://www.cubancigarwebsite.com/index.htm x2, this is a bible, all the info you need is on there to determine the authenticity of you cigars. If you got had Manic, its sucks because it cost you money, but hey we all learn from our mistakes. Stick around, contribute to the forums, and you'll gain a wealth of information. And please, no need to comment on the czar's pricing, he has a business to run, and prices his cigars in a way to keep his business running. No need to bash him on his pricing. Its called DUTY FREE for a reason.
