Diamondog Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 Hmmmm....I had some really nice stuff in June, Behike 52, Cohiba EL 2006 but I think the best was a Siglo VI from 2005...
lemmycaution Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 My best was a couple of Quai d'Orsay Coronas that a friend sent me. Absolutely love them!
shrink Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 I had a Punch Royal Seleccion No. 11 from MAY03 that was the perfect expression of it's type. Rich and ripe, with a perfect balance between the flavor elements, which included (in the order of their appearance): toasted tobacco, cracked black pepper, stewed fruits, sweet decayed cedar, and tangy citrus. A veritable meal in itself, cigar-wise.
Tyemv Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 Lancero. Who knew a thin cigar could be such a cracker.
Sutton Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 Ty the lanceros are a very nice cigar ! brothers stag 2 weeks ago , had a sig 6 & a partagas P1 ,P1 was a dud, so definatly the sig 6, from what i can remember. Lots of Bulldogs (margarita with a beer in it upsidedown)
headstand Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 June was dedicated to comfortable standbys - mostly BPC or BCJ. However, a young Dip 4 offered an interesting evolution that was very appealing after the mid-way point: rich velvety smoke and deep flavours. Yum.
Seriesteve Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 Mine was the New Flor de Cano Short Robusto UK RE A sweet little medium to full (mine was) Cigar, Dark Cherry, Mushroom with a long finnish leaving a powdery coating in your mouth. Cant wait for the next one Ss
AlexOk Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 ... in June... Well, it might be a Bolivar - Libertadores Edición Regional Francia 2006 A great cigar.
mazolaman Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 Sitting on the shores of Lake Bled,Slovenia. Bolivar Gold medal, oily, rich, but not overpowering, enough subtlety to make interesting flavour nuances come out.....wonderful.
Wil Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 Lots of Bulldogs (margarita with a beer in it upsidedown) Sounds terrible!
Mr.T Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 For me, have to go with a 2006 Partagas SDC 1....delicious smoke
Dbone Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 Late '09 Mag 46. Rob sure can pick 'em. Shortbread dipped in coffee... okay I can buy that
kevinfj Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 Sitting on the deck in Bandon Dunes, Oregon. Wife next to me. Partagas Salomones paired with Deschutes Summer Ale. Just shot an 83 at Old Macdonald. Heaven....... FJ
Sutton Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Wil , they are actually fantastic ! We were using Sol (mexican beer) and Richards white (Canadian) . My Brother has one of those fancy Margarittaville Blenders, best thing since sliced bread.
markmurase Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 My best for June was same as El Prez - H. Upmann Sir Winston. This one was from a HQ box, code LOT Oct 10. Great construction with straight burn and nice long grey ash. Lovely smooth, creamy cigar with enough other subtle flavours coming though to keep it interesting for the 2+ hours. Magnificent!
