gigabyte056 Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 This comes from a box of 10 picked up in a duty free shop in Belgium about 2 years ago. Paired with Longmorn 16 single malt. Wrapper looks amazing with chocolate and shine, perfect construction. Foot looks also great , packed and very easy to identify the different leaves. Upon lighting, slight pepper, mostly leather and wood. First 1/3 Coffee bean and spice with wood and a slightly salty after taste. Tons of smoke and a creamy finish. Spot on medium body Second 1/3 Burn goes a bit askew but the flavors are abundant. Cocoa joins the coffee bean and some nuts with a light salty tang , cream has the cigar go back a notch to medium light body. Final third, A staple cigar , same tastes as before, only some spice comes in to pick it up a notch. Glorious cigar, burn wise it wasn't razor sharp, but taste wise and burn time makes it a perfect friend for leisurely afternoon. Burn time 1:10
riazp Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 Boy I agree, when these are on, they are one of the best cigars in the montecristo lineup.
CaptainQuintero Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 Nice review! I haven't had overly great expereinces with Edmundos but know a lot of people get great smokes from them, I'm guessing it's jsut the Monte curse though, will have to pick a few up
ZAZ Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 I have a 2009 box of these and they are amazing. Great review, thanks for sharing.
