El Presidente Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 We are progressively finding out which Cuban Cigar has the highest rate of member satisfaction (and the lowest). I will run through the 30 most popular cigars during April/May/June and will provide an ongoing chart to see how the cigars stack up. It should go without saying to only vote if you have actually tried one Feel free to post your experiences and thoughts on the thread Todays cigar: H.Upmann Sir Winston Results to Date
KWG116 Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 Every one that I have smoked have been excellent. They have been 05-10 production Perfect construction perfect everything. I broke down and bought a 2010 box and smoked five so far. Hopefully I will let them rest sit for awhile. These are worth the price. I have a friend that SW's are his everyday cigar. That would be nice. These poles are a great addition to the forum. Thank you Kwg116
CBL Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 I'd hate to destroy this pristine 100%, but I'd have to vote average I've had one that made me look into the eyes of God, but the hand full of singles I've tried afterwards and the entire box of '02s I went through had me thoroughly disappointed. I didn't vote for disappointing because I've had perfection once and know what they are capable of. Maybe my bar was set way too high with that first one
anacostiakat Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 Fantastic refined cigar. I don't normally touch these for 5 - 7 years or more. One of my '03 boxes that I have been sampling from is fantastic.
MPS Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 I have never had even a mediocre Sir Winston. I'm sure one is coming down the road at some point but this cigar for me is always a classic.
bassman Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 My 03s had me wishing I'd saved the money & bought Monarchs. My 10s are fantastic. I guess that averages out to average.
El Presidente Posted June 16, 2011 Author Posted June 16, 2011 The results here closely reflect the video review. Good to see.
sg1234 Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 I bought a single at the LCDH in Puerto Vallarta last May and smoked it on the beach. It was love at first puff. I have some 09s that already show great promise for the future. Sir Winston is a great cigar all around!
mm12 Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 Just starting to get into an 06 box and they're amazing. Quality-wise this cigar should really be the benchmark HSA tries to reach in terms of their regular production cigars.
Disburden Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 I really want to save up for a large box of these to put away, that's how good I've HEARD they are.
