snickers99 Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Be quiet! Put out that cigar! Eat this salad! Your car's too big! Hand over that gun! Yes, the control freaks are out there thinking up new rules for you and for me. All for our own good, you understand. Oh, and they need more tax money to keep bringing you good government.
BobKincaid Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 "Victorian Attorney-General Robert Clark said . . . " "Victorian," indeed!
laficion Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 obnoxious swearing ? In OZ ? You haven't seen anything , come to France and just spend some time in a traffic jam or in a popular café and you'll see what " obnoxious swearing " is. SO ??
First Lady Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Honestly what a bloody joke they are going to make a fortune in Victoria as they swear like crazy down there... what is going to happen is all these fines are going to be handed out (especially at a AFL football game) than they will have to create a new government section just to chase up and try to get people to pay ..... deadshits Dear god if that come into affect in Queensland I for one will be in heaps of trouble Like Guy being from Italian/European heritage I am very vocale..... Rob no comments from you or Smithy
Wil Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 I think it is intended for sporting events. And if that is the case, I have no problem with it. As things are now, I wouldn't take my kids to the football. I can only imagine it would be used in extreme cases.
El Presidente Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 into affect in Queensland I for one will be in heaps of trouble Like Guy being from Italian/European heritage I am very vocale..... Rob no comments from you or Smithy Smithy set up Lisa a swear Jar last week ....it's overflowing

Stalebread Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 come to France and just spend some time in a traffic jam or in a popular café and you'll see what " obnoxious swearing " is. Do you know if it's actually illegal, though? In France? I think there are "anti-swearing" laws on the books in the States that, of course, vary from state-to-state. But I think they're often tied more to behavior than to just swearing. Anybody know more about this?
dicko Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 i hate the nanny state crowd!! total muppets (is that a swear word??)
Scdalak Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 Came across an strange story today...WTF.... Is "wanker" considered a swear word? Least they can do is provide a list of offense words that would lead to a fine.
Chewz0507 Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 So not being from Australia is this even legal? We have little politicans all the time here in the states that pass the most useless legislation and then when it is finally tested in court against someone it is struck down. Do you think that this will be the case for this particular mandate?
CM125 Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 Came across an strange story today...WTF.... This is crazy, it is getting where if it is not politically correct or offends one person in the crowd someone passes a law against it. I am thankful that this is not the law where I am from I would be in jail because I could not pay all the fines. Curtis
fred170 Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 Control, and More Control. And many say the Right is better than the LEFT....There is no difference amongst the lines except that the Right is supposed to be the beacon of freedom. It sure is painting a different portrait
fred170 Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 There all just a cunch of bunts. LMAO....English Pig Latin to throw off the Nazi's....
