As of last November, you could only bring 25 cigars into Mexico duty free... more than that you have to pay taxes.

I did not know that. Whenever I go down for a week I bring about 20-25 cigars. I guess I've been lucky. Is that per person I assume? If I "needed" to bring 25+ I could put half of the sticks in my wife's luggage right?

Just got back from Cancun yesterday. Got some CC's from Caridad at the LCDH on Kilometer 12.5, if you go there ask David to show you the Coke trick.

Take off the bands on the way there and back, and you will not have any problems, this is my 4th time doing it.

HAVE FUN.

Thanks for the info.

Here at excellence now. Havana cigar lounge is an interesting place. They do not allow cigar smoking. Lol. They do have some nice cigars, a,though pricey. Edmundo Dante's for $44, 1966 for $86. Not sure about legit though. I brought plenty for myself. May try the Dante's though.

Look at the hygrometers... last time I was there they were at 52%. Num, num. You aren't going to get out of that area in Mexico with any deals, but I'd stick to the LCDH in town that you passed on your way there.
