El Presidente Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Cuban hand-rolls record super-cigar http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5iCu6vKcxUfPDMvzmXALo3LZJwEgw?docId=CNG.a3f8092c66918f0cedb929502b657e94.d71 (AFP) – 1 hour ago HAVANA — Cuba's Jose Castelar on Tuesday finished rolling one large cigar -- at 81.8 meters (268.4 ft), his fifth Guinness world record. "Cuba is the country where the best tobacco is grown, and as long as Cueto is around, Cuba will have the world's longest cigar," Castelar told reporters, referring to himself by his nickname. Castelar, 67, had been working on the superstogie since April 25, toiling away about eight hours a day. His new goal -- another record he could set by topping 100 meters. Castelar's new record cigar could be smoked but won't be -- it is used for promotional events
investandprosper Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 I thought it was going to look something like this
Ghabanos Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 It can be smoked, but I can't imagine the draw on this. Maybe that's just my inexperience with cigars greater than 80 meters revealing itself.
Dbone Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 Cuba got a nice plug on their cigars out of it. Now is there a world record for smoking it
Rogers72 Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 My understanding is that it was rolled completely with leaf that would have previously been allocated to the now discontinued Partagas Conny lineup.
traded Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 I want to see the thigh that it was rolled on! I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT want to see that.
