TMS36 Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 I'm very interested in what others think regarding the "Right Way" and the "Wrong Way" to hang a roll?
Holysmokes Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 Epic topic and d also very important life skills. My girlfriend should read this post, she seems to believe that underhand is the common way of doing things... totally wrong. I thought I was the only one who felt that way. What would i do without FOH.
sloth Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 at work I seem to share a restroom with a group of people who opt for the 3rd option.
michael69 Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 the underhand way would surely the sign of a deranged and warped mentality! It would freak me out and cause me to question the nature of the person who hung it thus, should I ever (Heaven forbid) encounter this aberration.
lemmycaution Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 Why is "under" wrong? Not that I would ever do such a thing...Just wondering.

Seeing this at my office this morning is what spawned this social experiment. The Horror....
cigcars Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 TP hung underhand-style is plainly disgusting. *It's inconvenient as hell too
bc8436 Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 Stunning results. I will soldier on for the righteous way of hanging TP - underhanded. "Right is right even if nobody is doing it, and wrong is wrong even if everybody is doing it." -St. Augustine
olotti Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 Hilarious topic but oh so relevant. While I was dating my now wife I had to actually sit her down and explain to her that the only way the toilet paper was getting put on the roll was over the top, no question, of course it is a huge pet peeve of mine so it bothered me to no end. Being the good girl that she is it took a little house breaking but she finally got it and now reloads the tp over the top as is should be.
thechenman Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 No ifs ands or buts...overhand this time, next time, everytime.
dB69 Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 Of course I like it the right way! This is an important poll, because everyone needs tp, including the Great Cornholio...
bigfunkyg Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 I'm one of those guys who will change it in someone elses house if it is underhand style. Thats just plain wrong. G
shawnbc Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 As funny as it may sound, I just plain don't hang the toilet paper roll. It stands upright on the corner of the cabinet. We're too lazy to take on and off the spring loaded stick to put a new roll on.
mazolaman Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 I'm a caretaker at a school so I guess you could say that I'm a professional toilet paper hanger of sorts, among other wonderful areas of expertise related to the job. If I were to hang a roll underhanded I would be ostricized and shunned by the rest of the janitorial community. So,do you have this Uploaded with ImageShack.us in the Us? It brings horror to every 30something person in Britain. Being really shiny, more like grease proof paper,it tended to move things around a bit........ Anyway, being a confirmed green activist,I opt for the Indian method.......I only eat with my right hand.
Guest rob Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 Even the manufacturers intend for it to be hung "over" - that is why paper that is printed with pattern can only be seen when placed "over".
Fuzz Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Even the manufacturers intend for it to be hung "over" - that is why paper that is printed with pattern can only be seen when placed "over". Ahh, finally! Sombeody has cottoned on!! Well, at least to printed TP... what about unprinted TP?! What is missing from the poll is... are you a folder or scruncher?
kcheek Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Over hand at my house, but I don't own a cat. I worked with a guy who got married and his new wife had a cat. The cat liked to play with tp and when it is installed over hand it unrolls all over the floor very easy. My poor friend now lives a horrible life living with the under hand method because the cat can't unroll it anymore.
rckymtn22 Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 I can't believe people worry about which way the TP is put on. Which ever way it gets put on is the way I use it
CanuckSARTech Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 I'm one of those guys who will change it in someone elses house if it is underhand style. Thats just plain wrong. G LOL. Same here. My wife comes from a family of "underhand" hangers, so it drives my in-laws nuts when I change that. And/or, when I go into our own bathroom after my wife has put on a new roll, and I "undermine" her efforts around the house ( ) when I correct it to hang it overhand instead! Wow. We're all a bunch of sickos. Can't believe that we're all talking about this!
kcheek Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 I can't believe people worry about which way the TP is put on. Which ever way it gets put on is the way I use it Must have order and structure! No willy-nilly.
mazolaman Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 What is missing from the poll is... are you a folder or scruncher? More of an arse wipe!
Holysmokes Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 I can't believe people worry about which way the TP is put on. Which ever way it gets put on is the way I use it I think somebody needs to get their TP privileges revoked immediately
