laficion Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 Now here's a great Idea on how to buy a cigar book and get a humidor included with your buy. "Le Petit Larousse de Cigares" Edition Larousse and written by Guillaume Tesson. G.Tesson is a well known french author who has published books on his great passion which are CIGARS. As a cigar smoker, Tesson enjoys cigars from every horizons but his tastes are mostly focused on Habanos. Last November, Tesson came out with his latest book, an essay on his 200 best cigars classified by "TERROIR", yes sorry, that's very french LOL. The book talks about each tobacco country, origin, land, different specifications, cultivations without stating that this tobacco is better then that one or this one or which ever. The book gives you an objective perspective of what each country has best and different in each Terroir. The book also gives an interesting view on the history of cigars in Europe. The fun part is that this book comes with a small humidor that I would describe as , well, good if you need to dry box a few cigars before smoking, it's very attactive and supplied with a hygometer and simple humidifier, nothing extraordinary but cool enough to have in case of urgency. As far as I know, the book is only in french, If you're intrested, try to look it up. The price was the best surprise, in the 30's of Euros. What more can I ask. Here are a few pics.
El Presidente Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 Thanks Guy! I can see hours of pleasure having my school French teacher reading/translating that to me on the deck while I have a drink and a cigar. Bliss!
