Add me to the list of Excel users. I have to admit that I'm not real anal about keeping exact counts as I move through them.

Bassman, should you want to rid yourself of those SLRPC's that you forgot you had, please hit me up as those are on my radar (and Rob doesn't have any)!!

I use Excel to keep track of what I buy by arrival date and box code, but I don't keep track of what I smoke. Seeing the bottom of a box always makes me sad. ;)

I don't keep track of my boxes, the bottoms of the boxes do that for me ;) My NC's I put a little white sticker on with the year I bought it (on the cello) and most of my singles are RE's and LE's that I know when the dates are. Any other singles I get I just don't bother with, I know if they are old or if they are new. Any vintage singles I have I know when they are from because I have a good memory with numbers.

I'd love to make a spreadsheet like others here, however, I just wouldn't keep track and I'd forget to update it a lot. Too bad, because I know it would be fun.

I use my wife.

Her: "Where did all these cigars come from?"

Me: "What do you mean, all these cigars? I only have a few boxes"

Her: "Only a few? There's 2 boxes of PSD4's, 1 box of Bolivar RC's, 2 boxes of ...."

Works great.

I used to never keep count until I noticed cigars missing out of some boxes that I was aging. I talked to my wife about it and she started to make sense of what was going on.

Apparently every Thursday for about the past 2 months my wife's cousin has comes over with her husband when I'm not home. The girls chit chat in the kitchen while he's outside smoking a cigar. My wife always thought it was his own. I only noticed when there was one Behike missing out of each one of my 52, 54, and 56 boxes that I was saving for aging...

My solutions:

1. Excel spread sheet

2. Purchased a 100 count humidor and filled it with $1 cigars.

3. Called the prick up and said "Hey I just picked up these amazing super rare limited edition regionals and I put them in a humidor in the kitchen. You gotta try those when you come over, they are the best cigars I have!"

Ever since then I've never had a problem and he's smoked about 14 or so of those $1 sticks and says he's never experienced anything like them. Funny part is that he brags about them when we have family get togethers. I tried one to see what they tasted like, I couldn't get past the second puff...

I actually started tracking my NC cigars, some time ago. Mainly because I would smoke a particular brand and really like them, then order more. When they arrived I just put them into the same humidor. Well over time I was never sure which were which, so I started tracking them using labels made by Avery. Stick-n-Peel labels, size 1/2" x 1 3/4", they come on sheets. I would just type some pertinent info., (most important for me was when I ordered or received the cigars) on the computer and then save to the labels. Then stick the label on the cellophane. Then a stumbled across a website called Stogie Fresh, and he was using a tracking system, and allowed me to use a copy. I've been using it ever since (about 7 years). He has an updated system that he uses currently on his web site, but the version I have works fine for me. And unlike alot of you I don't have hundreds of boxes...not sure of my box count off hand, but I have about 1000 cigars, with 650 or so being Cuban. Nice thread!

I really dont keep track, but I dont have anything in deep storage either, all of my boxes are visible through the wine fridge door.

I used to have a spreadsheet with box codes, purchase prices, remaining sticks, etc. It got to be too much of a chore to keep it updated, so I stopped. Now I just veer through the window on my coolerdors to get an idea of inventory. When I smoke a single I like, I make a mental note to buy a box.

I'm with the Pig man on this on. I've got a couple thousand smokes (just a guess... could be way off) and I dont keep track. I really get a kick out of finding something that I had totally forgotten about!

I converted an old architect's box into my humidor, and I currently have exactly 23 full boxes of various sizes of Patagas, Montes ,Bolivar PCs, Rascc and Rass, Cohiba, RGCE and Vegas Robaina. I also have, at all times, 4 or 5 open boxes from which I smoke..oh, and one opus x and two padron '26 # 6 singles. When one open box is emptied, I sacrifice another full box. I hate going into a full box, because it is like breaking that $100.00 Bill...it sure doesn't last long. At the rate I'm going, I don't think I'll ever be able to increase my stash much. I'm still undecided whether I'm an addict or a beginning aficianado. Probably the former.
