El Capitan Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 I feel so relieved that my Parents and all my family/friends in the Cairns and Atherton Tablelands region were spared the fury of this cyclone. I went through Winifred (bad), Joy (worse - body bags were being flown in to Cairns and the storm turned around and went back out to sea at the last minute), and Larry. Yasi had the potential to be epic. Cairns and Townsville were so lucky that this storm threaded the needle and went right between the two major population centres. I can only imagine what could happen if a category 5 hit either city bang on.
El Presidente Posted February 4, 2011 Author Posted February 4, 2011 Smithy's parents house in Ingham has a few new "sunrooms".
El Capitan Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Smithy's parents house in Ingham has a few new "sunrooms". ****, thats terrible to hear. Please pass on to Smithy that we are thinking of them. But they are built tought in "Ingham were they sting-em"!
