Hey all,

Just got some RH beads and was looking for distilled water, but couldn't find any of the pure stuff at my local store.

I did find, however, distilled water that had minerals add and the total amount was <40 ppm. That's alot lower

than some of the other bottles of spring water with around 200-400 ppm.

Obviously, pure distilled is what's need, but is <40 ppm okay to add to my RH beads?

Any feedback is apprecitated. Thanks!

Where are you looking? Any Wal-Mart or local grocery store should carry them by the gallon. Cost like .89c But you need just pure plain distilled water.

Went to a Loblaws and Price Choppers (Toronto, Canada)

and found no pure distilled. I'll just keep looking.

Thanks for the input guys.

I get mine from CVS

In Finland you can find distilled water from pharmacy. It's medicine grade, so it's bit more expensive. But you don't use it much anyways.

If you're in TO, I might be able to help. I live in southwestern Ontario, so we have generally the same stores.

I've bought my jugs before from Sobey's. I've had no luck in finding it at Loblaws, Price Choppers, or Food Basics. However, Sobey's has always had gallon jugs in stock, as well as I frequently see it at Real Canadian Superstore locations and Wal-Mart too. I haven't really looked for it before at any Shopper's Drug Mart locations, but I'm sure you should be able to, being its something that a pharmacy would likely have, similar to what Omskakas said.

The stuff that I have on my shelf right now is "Ice River Springs" (which I believe I picked up from either Sobey's or Superstore), showing as Pure Steam Distilled Water. It shows "Dissolved Mineral Salts: <2 ppm".

Hope that helps.

Sobey's is where I get mine. I just bought my 2nd bottle. The first one lasted about 2.5 years. ^_^

On a similar note. Did anyone ever try Dr RH?

The Dr. RH stuff is just the same idea as the Madelaine solution or the Xikar stuff - it's all different PG solutions, and crystal humidifier elements. Best to step far away from PG solutions unless you're solely using foam elements.

But, it's funny about this thread - I actually need to go out and get myself some more distilled water later on this week. I actually will be using the last of mine later today when I refill everything - I've got two 8-ounce RH Beads in 65% in my 96 quart coolidor, as well as another 8-ounce in the top drawer of my cabinet, and my Cigar Oasis XL Plus in there also. With wintertime, I've only had to refill/recharge everything one other time since last September, so I'm quite happy (beads only in since December or so). Basically, one charge per each season or less, but then two over winter. And that's with A LOT of opening and closing of all of my stuff in the last 9 months or so.

So, I'm glad this thread popped up - reminds me of where I need to go in town to look for my jug of water.
