Trevor2118 Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Calling all Cuban / Spanish speakers , or Factory Insiders The term "Cinta Sandra" is shown in a Cuban cigar publication (used to update this section) for an abbreviation of SR. The English translation (in the same publication) for this term is shown as "Sandra Ribbon". The abbreviation does refer to a material type ribbon than is bound around bundles of cigars. In this case, the "Cinta" part of the term is correct. The abbreviation SR (and GPSR) was always thought to have referred to Silk Ribbon, however in other sections of the publication, the correct term Seda is used for silk, so it is assumed that "Sandra" may refer to another type of ribbon. Can anyone suggest a translation for Sandra in this context ?? or is Sandra a typo?
