mazolaman Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 I've just finished a reasonably large kitchen for an Australian chap. Not only did he put up with my Ashes jibes,he gave this wonderful tip. Uploaded with ImageShack.us A lovely bottle of Longmorn 16 year old,and five Romeo Y Julietta cedros no 2. I think the only way he cold have improved the tip would be to have added a vivacious brunette! The whiskey is full flavoured, for a Speyside, with a full molasses sweetness, and a strong alcohol finish that lasts....strong stuff at 48%. R+j s are good, one i'd never tried before.toffee start, followed by a little grassiness nice mild mellow smoke. Happy days....
theholmesmob Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 Gotta love a tip, booze and cigars are a ripper Obviously a job well done, enjoy.
Kangaroo495 Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 Well done buddy. Love the Cedros line! I've been getting all the Ashes jibes on a daily basis lately. It's like the last 20 years has suddenly disappeared from history..
El Capitan Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 Wow that's great Maz! The Ashes jokes can't have been too bad!
Dbone Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 Wow, that was real cool. Tip doesn't always have to be cash, the cigars and whiskey are a real nice treat. You must have done a good job Maz. Congratz and enjoy
Wicky Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 Good one! Being in the construction business myself, clients are often treating me to something or other. It's part of the fun in being a contractor! Meeting and working for good people who really appreciate what you have done for them.
mazolaman Posted January 28, 2011 Author Posted January 28, 2011 Well,it's 9ish,so glass in hand,I propose a toast to you all. To your health, cheers! mmmm, free whisky....
cigcars Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 **I quote Dbone: "WOW!!" And - when I actually got an AUTHENTIC R&J Cedros I was exceptionally satisfied (I'd gotten -and PAID for-a box of fakes previously) and my opinion was happily renewed concerning these cedros! Nice lookin' bottle of whiskey too!
Erm310mce Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 It's not often that hard work is rewarded like that nowadays. Congrats, I'm sure a lot of hard work went into that payoff.
ckearns Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Obviously a job well done. Its always nice to see business transactions ending with that level of respect. Congratulations!
