I try to go down there once a week during this time of year, not too many tourists and the weather is great for walking around.

By the way, welcome aboard! I don't know much about smoking a cigar there, but my neighbor found a cigar factory on boubon street. He told me the owner gave him a tour and he had a great time talking with him. Wish I had more information for you.

Winston's Pub is located off Old Metarie Rd, they are Cigar friendly, serve great bootle and tap beer and food.
