asmith Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Don't let anybody tell you that these guys are not professional. They may have a skin full of red wine but they still can do a professional review. Stay for the outtakes as it is fun for the whole family. <!--id1--><div><object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value=" name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350" /></embed></object></div><!--id2--> 1
mazolaman Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Brilliant,an empassioned ode to the "zenith"? of Cuban cigars, and then he pisses over the balcony! Envious of smokers who have that cigar though. 1
docbp87 Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 I think there is some serious slurring of words going on... Great review though. Been eyeing these for a while. 1
LeafLover Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Great review Rob and KG. Did you all invest in a new camera because the colors and picture has improved a lot. Thank you for reviewing this cigar. Have some 07's now.
adic88 Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 AAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. The balcony piss just had be rolling in laughter. Great review. Definitely picking up a box of these now. 1
ronin Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 These are an outstanding cigar. I have cabs from 98 through 04 and they are all gems. I am really sorry that the 50 cab is no longer made.
laficion Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Great review & fine way to finish off Ken!!!,You could always rent the downstairs to someone you don't like , and tell him that you know someone who is willing to water his plants free of charge, Right ?
dicko Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 I really need to try these cigars!! pretty loose behaviour on the deck lately haha as always
thechenman Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Ah Des Dieux...fantastically woody cigars. Love 'em.
cgarner Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Ah love this cigar. Can't ever seem to buy a box though. Every time they come available someone bets me to the punch.
bob25 Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 What box code\year is good for this cigar? I never tried one before and thinking on pulling the trigger.
BolivarSmoker Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 More than two shakes and you're playing with it! 1
CBL Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 The ending was well worth the wait! Had this cigar once from a box of '01 I think, pretty damn tasty I must admit!
gginflo Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 I have 22 of these left from 2003 5 packs. The cardboard packs don't seem to do much for the aging of these as they have been a letdown for me. Would removing them from the packs and storing in a cedar box improve them with time, or is it too late? I would love to appreciate them as much as everyone else seems to.
BradNC Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 I HAD (*HAD I emphasize*) a mouthful of Coke (the liquid) at the end of this tape UNTIL Rob drained his trouser weasel. I kept saying to myself, "Noooo, he isn't doing that.....", and then concluded, "Why yes he is". It would be great if Ken parked below that area and the camera picked up the audio of the the car being "watered". Glad I had some laptop screen cleaner. Love the editing Smithy. Brilliant, just brilliant.
88keys Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 I am almost as crazy for these as Ken and even found another 03 cab recently, so I watched with great identification. I swelled with pride as El Presidente stated "this sort of stuff resonates with true connoisseurs of Havana cigars". That's me! I've made it all the way to the top of our thing, whatever the heck we're doing. I'm not borderline insane, I'm a true connoisseur! Less than two minutes later I watched in horror as the leader of the cult himself sought immediate relief. There went my connoisseurship over the balcony and into the weeds along with a pathetic amount of poorly processed red wine. Another idol smashed, another dream denied.
CigarmanTim Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 I hope he washed his hands before he passed Ken another cigar...
El Presidente Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Fairs Fair. Kens guest bathroom door has been blocked by boxes of wine for a few weeks. We are not permitted to use his bathroom. The balcony is now promoted as the guest bathroom. 1
mkz Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 For those of you that havent tried the Des Dieux: Do it! They are superb!!
cigaraholic Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 My bad....I said you pissed all over the Bolivar EL last time.
88keys Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 I have 22 of these left from 2003 5 packs. The cardboard packs don't seem to do much for the aging of these as they have been a letdown for me. Would removing them from the packs and storing in a cedar box improve them with time, or is it too late? I also tried this even though experience told me not to. The cigars I got in packs were definitely not as good as the ones from my cab. I immediately put them in a box and after a year or so they seem to have improved some, although I might be kidding myself. Anyway, it's worth a try. I won't go for packs anymore unless they're fresh.
Colt45 Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 I figured this was a promotional video for Ayala's latest endeavor - "Pissbucket" "We get pissed, but you don't have to." I've an '07 box in storage I'm looking forward to.
tdlfoto Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 loving the HQ box I scored from a Live from the Humi a few months back. definitely a favourite.
