Fixing a windtunnel

After watching the video review of the Por Larranaga robustos, it occurred to me that I have encountered Ken's problem of underfilled cigars from time to time, and sometimes I am able to remedy the situation.

Such was the case with that CoRo I had in Kickinghorse Pass. If I had smoked it as it was, it would have continued to be hot and the flavours diluted, or worse, bitter. But the tobacco was amazing, and if the only trouble was the ease of air passing through, why not introduce some way of reducing the flow? It's not as hard as it sounds... I made no thoracic operation, nor employed any complicated implements, save my opposable digits and mandible. Just squeeze the bugger and/or bite down on it, even chew on it, although I find the flavour is best if the restriction happens a bit away from my mouth so tars don't accumulate. That CoRo became rich and supple as long as I abused it. Just my 2c.

Underfilled is still smokable. If choosing between underfilled and plugged, underfilled it is. I have a cab of PLPC's where there are some underfilled specimens. I still smoke them. I will try pinching them as Atchbo shares.

WOW. Never seen it that bad before. Well done on sticking with it. I think upon discovering the problem I would have uttered some profanities and pitched it. Good job , now when it happens to me I'll know what to do.
