We all seem to be describing a similar profile, just in different ways. Thats what I love about this hobby! everyone brings their own perspective to the table. One thing we all agree on, that there is such a thing as a unique 'cuban twang', and we love it!

Enjoy your smokes everyone! and make them cuban. :D

To me as I'm smokin an 09 JL2 its that very pronounced sweet/salty flavor that hit's your tongue but regardless the one flavor I always have with cubans is that earthy, musty flavor I can only liken it to when you smell real good leather as oppossed to cheap leather, you know when you smell good leather and this is how I liken it to cuban tobacco, its like the finest leather and it has that taste too. THe tobacco itself tastes diff on dry drawes regardless of the marca but I always get that and it's always so smooth, must be something in the soil and yes I can agree maybe some people taste it as metallic but I taste it as a salty/sweet or green pepper taste as the Prez would say and depending on the ligero that is put into it the cigar can have a nice paprika spice. It's really great and I still smoke alot of NC's but cuban tobacco is such a vice as it tastes so good for all the reasons described above. Also no box of cigars smells like cubans, none, cubans have just such a richness, every box I get I can smell it through the packaging and that is uniue onto its own.
