Very tough to pick just one. Many people come to mind such as Michael Jordan, Mahatma Ghandi, Nelson Mandela and Mohammed Ali. To me the ultimate would be Abraham Lincoln. Imagine having a cigar, a beer and conversation with any of those mentioned.

My father.

He was a life long Pall Mall smoker, but when I would bring him a nice cigar I could always see how much he would enjoy it while we sat in the living room and enjoyed the passing of time.

Don't know if it's bad form to reply to your own post, but I would love to smoke a great CC with Leonardo DaVinci. I doubt I could keep up my end of the conversation, but it would be incredible to just sit and listen!

Good question. There are quite a few people that I'd like to smoke cigars with.

I may have a different answer tomorrow. But for now I'll say Vince Lombardi.

If you could smoke your favorite cigars with anyone - dead or alive - who would it be?

Sacha Guitry and Mark Twain

Not only would it be great to smoke with these great cigar smokers,

but the contrast would be quite interesting .

Søren Kierkegaard, perhaps the greatest mind of the nineteenth century. "One ought to be riddle not only to others but also to oneself. I examine myself; when I am tired of that, I smoke a cigar for diversion and think: God knows what our Lord actually intended with me or what he wants to make of me."

* Tallulah Bankhead and/or Gloria Swanson. I just feel they'd be very non-judgemental of another old broad smoking a stogie! ;)

Along those lines (though I'm not an old broad), I'd have to go with Mae West. I could also live with Audrey Hepburn, or Sophia Loren, or......

One of the greatest moments in my life was spending all day with Alejandro Robaina smoking cigars and conersating about life. I would of loved to spend time with the great Compay Segundo over cigars and music. Also Fidel would be interesting to smoke with.

What would Jesus smoke?

Why, a Trinidad (that is,"Trinity") of course.

Some of these responses are anachronistic, the above included.

I'd have to say Alejandro Robaina - I missed out on that opportunity on previous visits to the islands, and I'm regretting it now. So, I'd have to say he'd be my deceased-cigar-compatriot to smoke with.
