LeafLover Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 Larry Bird and the rest of the legendary 80's Celtics: Parrish, McHale, Ainge, DJ. Or, the cast of Lost. Then, there's Charlize Theron. Or, Denzel Washington. The list goes on......
cigcars Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 Why, a Trinidad (that is,"Trinity") of course. Some of these responses are anachronistic, the above included. *Anachronistic is right. What would Jesus smoke...Hmmm. I think He would choose the most overlooked, despised, unwanted cigar they make in our field - a GUANTANAMERA! And thus, that cigar would be holy-like grail of smokes. They wouldn't be able to keep it on the shelves...
Loki Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 I would like to sit down with William Harley and Arthur Davidson and talk about their collective inspiration for HD motorcycle.

Stalebread Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 J.C. Jackie Chan ? I think I'd go with Mark Twain or Freud. .
laficion Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 For an evening of cigar smoking and fantastic conversation, Orson Welles would have been perfect
coneatty Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 I had a dear friend... much older than I..the kind of friend who was close. I mean, just a real, close, good friend. He and a few others of us would meet, almost daily, and smoke cigars. He flew airplanes in the Korean war and jets in the Vietnam war. never really talked about it... until his wife gave us all some old photos after he died a few years back. I would like to have a Partagas 898V with him (we all smoked a box after his funeral). No words...just my buddy and me, smoking a Partagas.

Martindelmundo Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 Oscar Niemeyer, an architect who is giving credit for designing Brasilia from an urbanist stand point. He's 102 years old and gives credit to cigars for being able to live so long..
coneatty Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 Beautiful, cigmondo - my favorite response, so far. [bFWA] BigFatWhiteAsh...that was one hell of a question you asked. I think a lot of the responses will surprise those responding. Mine sure did. From one newb to another, welcome to the forum...ain't it great?
gsmoke Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 1. My father, who died 4 years before I got into the cigar habit. 2. Salma Hayek (ultimate beauty) 3. Compay Segundo (ultimate Cubano)
ajgagnon Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 You guys bring up some interesting ideas. I'd have to add to the list Tom Waits, Earnest Hemingway and Pierre Trudeau, maybe Gorbachev... hell, I wonder what the buddha would have thought under that bodhi tree with something long and contemplative like a Lusitania or Monte A. And I'd have to echo Mark Twain, Orson Wells (was he mentioned?), and Groucho Marx. How about George Burns? I bet he'd have a thing or two to say about cigars, but he'd probably school me with some smart-ass retort before even getting into a decent conversation. I figure if there's a heaven, he's sitting at the pearly gates smoking a Churchill, saying "I know you think you want to go in there, but what would you say if you couldn't have any more of these inside?"
Aficionado Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 With my two dead sons end Monsieur Zino Daviodoff.
Van55 Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 I've had the great pleasure of doing so in the past. I wish I could do so again. Cigars and conversation with Chuck (Tampa1257) and Rob (El Presidente). I think I would really enjoy sharing cigars and drink with gargett as long as I could choose the music. Of course there are innumerable famous and historic figures... But that's just a pipe dream.
